in all honesty, i spent a long time trying to figure it out, and never came up with a definite answer. i think the speed advantage is -- while not overwhelming -- enough of an advantage to certainly help supes out, while supes vulnerability to magic is something that has been blown out-of-proportion by some in the thread.

by my last count, i think i had supes like 5.5/10. feats and abilities make it damn near impossible to conlude either would beat the other for a big majority.

Thanks Leon. To be honest, a good insight by someone who reads both comics on a good basis is what the thread needed, like when Wally West closed the deal on Flash vs Thor and Supes

It's called matter manipulation. Kitty once phased his body making him one with concrete. To get out he used matter manipulation, easily getting out and deflecting a telepathic assault from Phoenix soon after.

His magical weakness is blown out of proportion but Thor's exotic powers aren't

I had the reverse going I was 5.5/10 for Thor

I would still like to point out that while Superman has never fought or even speedblitzed at light speed, Thor has actually shown the ability to swing Mjolnir at light speeds.

And for those who continually say Surfer never used speed against Thor, your wrong. In their first fight Surfer was some what shocked and surprised that Mjolnir was "keeping" up with him.

true, but in that saem fight, ss showed the ability to DODGE mjollnir. and ss really does lack combat speed feats of the type supes has LOADS of.

Surfer has actually shown the ability to think and react at light speeds, while Superman has not.

Yes Superman does have loads of impressive speed feats, but his combat feats have never reached ftl.
