No I'm pointing out the parallel before someone steps into this particular thread and points out a confrontation between Supes and Flash as proof of FTL speedblitzing for Supes. If I get addressing it out of the way now, then maybe I won't have to later.

Actually the times I've seen Grodd hit Flash, he's had some sort of mind control on him.

Goober, you're prob right, someone who can rebuild an entire city in seconds is prob too slow to do a FTL speedblitz. Thanks for showing me the light. 🙄

That post had nothing to do with the city building feat, it had to do with Thor vs Surfer in comparison to Flash vs Superman.

And again I'm not saying that Supes is unable to blitz an opponent at FTL, I'm just asking when he's actually done it.

Well we do know for a fact that Thor has superhuman reflexes. Here he avoids Gladiators eye beam at close range.

Speed advantage, yes. Reflex advantage, not sure. Thor's shown the ability to dodge or block energy attacks with his hammer many times so I don't really see speed as being a huge factor in a fight between the two. It IS something that's in Supes's favor, but I don't see it as being the determining factor in the fight.

energy attacks are quite slow relatively to the things Superman deals with

thor would literally be like a statue if Kal utilizes his speed

I'm almost positive that the attack he blocked at close range from Phoenix after it was fired was going lightspeed or faster.

Or because it was a telepathic attack from Phoenix and telepathic attacks are notoriously difficult to dodge. Besides just because Thor blocked it rather than dodged it doesn't prove that he couldn't, otherwise all the instances of Supes just taking the hit rather than moving out of the way would be indications proof his inability to do so.

ok, if you guys don't think Superman vastly outspeeds Thor, then really there's nothing more I can say to convince you otherwise.

I guess Hulk is also a speedblitzer now, since he hangs with the superfast Thor!!!

Everyone is in agreement that Superman is faster. But there are other factors to debate here. Just because Superman has an edge in speed doesn't necessarily give him the W.

I think people disagree about how big the speed gap is

Some (the thor supporters) feel that SUperman is faster, but not enough to make a difference

Others (superman supporters including me) feel that Superman is SO MUCH FASTER than Thor that speed will be the DECIDING factor
