I don't think anyone's made the claim that Supes ISN"T vastly faster than Thor, this whole thing has been about whether or not Thor has the reflexes to deal with Supes's speed. And since Thor's SHOWN the ability to block/dodge lightspeed attacks and Supes hasn't actually SHOWN FTL blitzing capability in combat then I think it's safe to say that he can. Thanos is in no way a speedster, but that doesn't mean that he can't knock speedsters out of the air or that he's helpless against their attacks.

And no one's attributed Thor with FTL blitzing capabilities, so your Hulk comparison falls short.

I think people disagree about how big the speed gap is

Some (the thor supporters) feel that SUperman is faster, but not enough to make a difference

Others (superman supporters including me) feel that Superman is SO MUCH FASTER than Thor that speed will be the DECIDING factor

Have you ever seen Thor lose to a speed blitz ? I sure haven't . In fact Thor hurls his hammer at x2 the speed of light. Whats to stop him from blocking a speed blitz with the hammer . Or using it offensively at that speed .

I've never really seen Thor face a true speed blitz.

Well we are to assume that Gladiator moves at superman speed. If Thor were truly slow, he'd be moving in slow motion to someone like Gladiator.

no we can't assume Gladiator used his speed to blitz thor

or else, we have to assume that everyone that Flash or Gladiator fights have FTL reflexes

the fact is speedsters often dumb down their speed to suit their enemies so comics can be made

Perhaps he's slow... and perhaps he's not... but I get the impression some people (Master Bruce) have never read anything Thor-like, outside of him getting KO'ed in the crossover...

Let me ask this. Just for argument lets say that Superman blitz Thor and that does not work what else can Superman do to beat Thor?

lol you act like a sun dip is nothing. Thor is still vulnerable to Physical Damage just like he always is. Just like he got knocked out last time.
ON THE other hand Thor has nothing if his Odin Force fails him

Just thought I'd point out that as far as Heat Vision goes, Thor walked right through it to get to Supes the last time they fought so I don't think it would score an easy win for Supes.

The Sun dip is countered with the Odin force. You brought up the Sun dip.

A sun dip IS nothing if it constitutes leaving the battlefield. That's called running away which counts as a win for Thor.

Heat Vision : Didn't he try that already and failed.
And that punch wouldn't work on current Thor.

First one your correct on,second and third though are iffy,superman has gotten major upgrades since he and thor last fought.
