Where are you getting the idea that he was fighting at light speed? If you are going by after images and high speed moving, well, I guess wolverine also moves at light speed.

-Superman operates at his absolute best where as Thor operates at much lower effienciency than normal.
-Superman begins with a massive sundip and catches Thor unaware and weaponless.
-This is Pre-Crisis insanity Superman vs. Masterson Thor (even then 10/10?)
-Superman gets the jump on Donald Blake.
-This fight is the result of horrible fan-fiction.

i know you posted scans and on some of them (sometimes majority) I agree with you on.
I also know that Superman can fight at high speeds and I never said that he couldnt fight above the speed of sound because his race with flash proves that but I did say that he cant fight at the speeds that a lot of people put him at.

What I said about speed of sound is that he only has one combat feat that gives any kind of indication on how fast he was moving and that was when he was punching at the speed of sound.
I'm not telling you what speed people think because its going to open up a whole new can of worms.

His race with flash, I dont consider that as a combat feat either since, well, the hulk has ran up to 500 mph and his punches/combat speed seems much slower.
I would love to show you scans that gives a indication on how fast a person is fighting.

to catch bullets requires reflexes > speed of sound.
catching a bullet even takes as much if not more effort than throwing a punch.
he's left after images TONS of times.
superman was running up buildings. he didn't hit one civilian. he even put his arm on wally's. that's all processing and reflexes.

has she done it on a consistent basis? because that's the key. a once off feat is never going to pass muster.

Hey if you think Superman wins the majority, that's cool, because most of the people here don't really argue whether or not Superman can beat Thor (I think he can, though personally I think Thor's versatility and combat skills net him the majority).
The thing I have a problem with though, is when people like h1a8 argue for Superman in a manner that is completely over-the-top and doesn't do justice to either character. Only in some bizarre ass scenario does Superman completely curbstomp Thor. It's disrespectful and ignorant of both Thor and Superman in the fact that it completely overestimates one character while completely underestimating the other.
I guess I don't have a problem with people voting for Superman or claiming his beats Thor so long as their reasoning is sound and fair to both characters.
