Writers tend to vary the characters showings. Only a few months after the wolverine fight, Thor was schooling Quicksilver who now is as fast as radio waves. He was able to easily doge Hyperion in the past and counter a blitzing gladiator.

Supes speed has been contradicting before from unable to race light to moving thousands of times lightspeed.

IMO one should base his opinion to average fights and the truth is that Thor has been fighting consistently oponnents way faster than Wolverine.

However in comics charcaters tend to go down to the level of the guy the're fighting especially if he is a hero too

one of Supes power is super speed..he even race against Flash..that count as consistent rite..how many time have Thor move at super speed..i mean real super speed..Flash like super speed..cuz i don't think Thor have any super speed..he can move way faster than human..but that's not really super speed..i only read on current Thor..so i don't know about his old stuff..current one never shown any speed feat if i'm not mistaken..

Thor is not a racer guy, he usually uses speed when needed in batle through his reflexes.

speed goes to clark - he should be able to tag thor more often for a good portion of the fight until stam/durability issues arise then he slows down some.
strength is a wash
durability is a wash - clark prolly has better def against piercing damage while thor prolly has better def from energy attacks
versatility should go to thor - clark has many neat tricks and a killer heat vision, but thor has such a huge advantage in terms of overall offensive capabilities. mjolnir is not really a weapon of his, it's more an extension of character.
skill - very close, but edge should go to thor since he's been a warrior for countless ages. he is a better fighter.
one last thing is that "weakness" to mystic attacks. yeah yeah im sick and tired of that too, but it always comes up in comics when he is portrayed. so that means it has to be included.

I'm actually basing my opinion off of Thor respect threads.

He DOES have impressive examples of speed, but none of them really point at high level speedster stuff. The feats that are there are either of the lower level speedster variety, or fighting with other speedsters which in and of itself doesn't prove Thor is a speedster, as than you'd have to claim Deathstroke the Terminator is one for all the times he's punked Flash.

Identity Crisis was probably the worst example of all, with him actually tagging Flash with a reverse thrust of his sword..

I was just joshing with that post. However, I'm pretty sure there are some inconsistencies between JLA/Avengers and what was going around in the MU. I remember coming across them. I'd have to flip through the crossover again, but one of the main ones involved the Infinity Gauntlet or something similar.

I know. It's not the case despite what some might want to believe.

All JLA/Avengers shows is that Superman has to work his ass off for every single win he takes over. That fight was just showcasing one of the 4 wins he'd take out of 10 against Thor. 🙂

We should have a crossover written by a writer who favors Thor and see how that works out for Clark.

I do agree Thor wins 6 out of 10.

maybe he means PIS when Supes is beating opponents he "should" not be able to deal with.

IMO Darkseid is one of them. PIS instances like heat vision bloking the omega beams etc tend to happen with supes

Neither do I. The best we can hope for is a stalemate. Wasn't one of the main reasons the first crossover fell through a result of Marvel not letting Thor being sacrificed on the altar of Superman? He was intended to stalemate Pre-Crisis Superman as I recall.
