Stupid statement is stupid.

Thor has plenty of reaction time feats. He would see Superman coming, and would absorb all of his energy with a thought. Fatality.

You know what? We could throw in the Hulk and Thor would still win.

You could speed blitz someone with comparable reaction speeds, too.

Superman managed to blitz Cyborg Superman and Ultraman. Scans will follow, but I'm too lazy at the moment (But the former happened during Trial of Superman, while the latter occurred in Trinity.)

Due to the fact he held dropped his guard when he stopped the hammer very uncharacteristic of Thor. Oh and just because he barely bested him once doesn't mean he takes the majority. That and the writer himself agrees it could have gone either way.

Let's be honest though we both know dc would never allow baby blue to go down to a marvel hero in a crossover.

That fight was obviously biased.

And is not canon.

I vote for Thor.See this site and then judge.

Judge for yourselves using this site if Thor is qualified or not to beat Superman.I say Thor is.But that is just my opinion.

DC wouldn't let their flagship character lose. So there's that.

I disagree.

VENOM? RING ANY BELLS?

That flagship character comment is one of the WORST justifications for the Thor fan base

Reporter??? 😄

I AGREE THOR CAN DEFEAT SUPERMAN. Lets not be biased, but they are too close.

You know my stance 5.25 out if 10 in favor of Superman

it's not so strange...popularity reasons justify the outcome of many comic fights even in the same company... Hulk vs Anyone i.e.

Still it destroys the argument of flagship character never loosing to a non flagship character.

You shoud read Kurt Busisek's interview and see why He said Superman wins. Believe me it has nothing to do with flagchip character.

Besides in the same issue Thor failed to contain Firestorm was that another "flagship character" victory?

Non canon is debatable, but I do not wish to get into that.

The Avengers chronology project aknowledges as canon as well as several "errors" in FIVE bios such a The Grandmaster's and Galactus and Tom's saying that it is canon.

But lets forget about that. for now

People who say that DC wouldn't let Superman go down to Marvel foes ignore the page right after that one where Superman got pummeled by Herc and friends and had to be saved by Aquaman.

In any case JLA/Avengers isn't admissable in this forum even if I consider it to be canon.

Yes like Firestorm and Red Tornado, defeating Thor and Vision in collecting their items.

Because Firestorm and Red Tornado are more popular than THOR???

Perhaps Vision's lack of popularity offset Thor's popularity so much that he couldn't win against two B-List DC heroes. 😛

lol... like it was even a fight. Firestorm only bought time to go away.
Nevermind we had Hawkeye's popularity beating Captain Atom and Wonderman's popularity crushing Kyle...

Yeah, these issues were pure gold 😛

Well at least you see to recognize that popularuty has NOTHING TO DO

Hawkeye carrying his lead arrow, conceivable

lol sure like CA is not strong enough to break through lead bonds...
Popularity HAS EVERYTHING TO DO... or maybe bad writing (and this stands for Marvel and DC characters alike in these books)
