Well for starters I think if Wolverine was injected with the serum it would hurt so the pain could distract him, that could give Blade enough time to reach for a stake.

Did Shield have samples of Logans dna to test the effectiveness of the serum? Did Blade?

So if Blade gets prep Wolverine will probably win, and w/o prep he will definitely win.

Ok fair enough I think Blade could have still lost even if Wolverine had turned I just dont like assuming there is no way it was going to work. Hell Blade does know that Wolverine has a HF you know and he would have taken that into account.

even if it did work which would controdict ever fing showing of Logans. But assume it did work blade would have died. he was at a complete disavantage and was only still breathing becuases Logan was holding back which a vampire Logan would not do.

There also other showings that contradict that. Im not going to go into them. At any rate all he needs to be is distracted by 1 second. No im not sure if the transformation hurts but as far as I know changing into a werewolf does so its not a stretch.
