Look Blade wasnt trying to kill him he wanted to bring him in anyway. The vial would have probably worked because Blade did research on Wolverine.

Blade is a biologist/chemist? Blade had samples from Wolverine to test the effectiveness of the serum? Turning Wolverine into a vampire would have stopped Logan from killing him right there?
I don't even see why we are still talking about the fight in the comic, Blade does not have the vial in this fight, Blade is getting cut to ribbons.
