Rulk in a second fight was far weaker than in the first.
Thor wasn't holding back in first fight. He even said that Rulk could kill him, so that means he was holding back and was waiting to get killed. So, he rather waited for death? I don't think so. He just wasn't match for Rulk (I might add not even close match) and he actually fought Rulk who wasn't completely fresh.
Rulk beating Thor in the first fight is far more convincing than Thor beating him in the second.

And Hulk never and could never do to Thor what Rulk did. Hulk did beat him, but Thor only engaged him in a combat, didn't attack him like he did Rulk. And Hulk KO-ed Rulk with one punch. Yeah right. Rulk was so weaker than in the firs five issues. Punch that KO-ed him wouldn't do anything to the Rulk before sixth issue.
Anyway, Rulk awoke and seems pissed. He will probably return even as more dangerous.
xplosive, i haven't been reading this thread all that much and i just clicked on it and happened to read your post. thank you for letting me know this thread is a waste of time and a joke with your comment that it looked like rulk was able to take thors hammer because he was more worthy than thor. i can now skip over this thread now that i know the kind of bs your side is spouting. thanks.

I never said he is literally more worthy. Thor is known ''only worthy can lift his hammer'' an I said they made look Rulk being more worthy to hold his hammer, but never meant it so, but only to indicate how he made a joke out of Thor. But he did take it easily and did with Thor whatever he wanted. So, the comment is not a joke, but it actually happened. It was hard for you, because your boy Thor being beaten so badly and easily in the first fight.
Yea...But Rulk basically had prep in that fight since he stated that he'd studied Thor's fighting style and Thor thought he was going up against the Green Hulk so he very likely underestimated Rulk’s power level and was also unaware of his fighting style.
Now in the second fight, Thor now had an idea of Rulk’s power level and fighting style, plus while he did announce his presence with an attack, he also gave a nice speech before continuing the attack.

Aaah, and Thor was at full power the second fight? I thought Rulk was the one with incredible recuperative capabilities. If Thor was as injured as you say, then how come he was able to recover so quickly? It didn't strike you as odd that Thor didn't try to summon lightning when Rulk grabbed his hammer? Thor was not holding back in their initial encounter, we can all see the lines in Thors face as he attempted to bury the last strike into Rulks head; it was simply not enough.
Thor fought a tired Rulk, one who had been through hell since he made his first appearance. Anyone using the excuse that Thor was holding back had to be looking at the fight through beer goggles, in fact before issue 6 came out everyone was like.... Oh... "what kind of BS is this", and pretty much sold Thor down the river (including his staunchest fans) Rulk went celestial, and could suddenly take on Thanos and others of his caliber.
Thor got his ass handled. score is 1-0 for Rulk, Thor's attack was cowardly, not to mention the fact that Rulk was in a fight with the Hulk, and Thor's attack was a sneak attack on Rulk, and he was unable to recover from this cowarly avenue that Thor decided to take... why didn't Thor call him out again? He was scared, that's why.
Make no mistake Thor was going all out in their first encounter, look at the scans for yourself, look at Thor's expression when he try's to bury the hammer into Rulk's head, but Rulk catches it and returns the favor.
Rulk could have killed Thor, and Thor admitted that he was beaten by saying to leave him alive was a mistake. When Thor fought Ironman and used him as a baseball, he told Tony that he changed, he no longer holds back, so basically Thor has become a darker character compared to how he was before his death.
Rulk is not the only one to relieve Thor of Mjolnir two others have done so as well.... Red Norvell, and Beta Ray Bill, Zeus nearly took the hammer himself.
My question is still who is Rulk, is he half of what made up King Hulk?

That's not canon, and even if it were how many people would buy Thor holding back after he was on deaths door? Thor simply could not get up, and was at Rulk's mercy. They need to fight again to determine who would win... and this goes for the Green Hulk as well, Thor softened Rulk up and Bruce put him in the oven... well so to speak.
Rulk has a victory over both of them, and neither can claim a real win over Rulk.
Oh and let it be known, I hate this dummy man Hulk that Loeb has created, the A-Bomb is fine, and it's logical for A-Bomb to be in that state of maturity, but Bruce should be as smart as he was in WWHulk. Like I said is Red Hulk half of what made up King Hulk... the smart vicious part?

Rulk made a joke of him. Thor beat him 2nd time, because Rulk was drained or tired and of course even then Thor saw that he must sucker punch him. Not completely fresh Rulk Vs. fresh Thor who came to kill him and as I remember, it wasn't even a challenge, it was a curbstomp. 😆 💃
I also must add that hammer looked better in Rulk hands than in Thor.

Xplosive said that Thor was almost killed in the first fight but was fresh in the second, now since the second happened at best minutes after the first, either Thor has a Wolverine level healing factor, Thor wasn't anywhere near dying in the first fight or Xplosive was lying about him being fresh in the second.
