I know how you feel. Deception was really good IMO. I didn't like DA because it was stupid and the story sucked. Who kills off the star of their franchise? What I really liked was the story. Shunjinko was basically manipulated since childhood and believed that he was chosen as a champion and then at the end he finds out that he has been nothing more than a pawn.
Exactly. 🙂
As for Deadly Alliance, basically the only thing I liked about it a lot (if anything) was that Immortal song by Adema. 😛 The way you were able to impale opponents in that game with most of the characters' weapons was pretty cheap IMO. 😬 Am glad that was taken out of the later installments.
As for Deception, yeah. Not only was the storyline good, but I like how the setting of it started way before the events of the first Mortal Kombat game, and how Shujinko's quest for the Kamidogu lasted all throughout the events of MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4, and MK: DA. 😄
That was a pretty sweet idea. So was the thing with there being an original ruler of Outworld before Shao Kahn, whom Kahn had poisoned and taken over as emperor (needless to say, it made me not see Kahn the same way ever again, but that's still a pretty badass origin for one like Onaga, and how he finally came back after years of plotting & manipulating Shujinko).

i think it's fine, actually... if the game is a success, we should see bigger rosters if they make a sequel anyways...
Hmm. True.
