The fight starts SS attacks Hal faster than Light.
Game over. (and no his auto shield won't work remember , it only work if it kills him)
End of story.
Hal can't match SS speed.
He had to use all his will power just to go beyond light speed (still can't react as fast as SS)
And no GL doesn't equal SS.
Gl (kyle) got his ass kicked by Wonder Man and Kyle is a Strong will GL.
Faster than Light / though really puts a end to this debate.

If Surfer aint klilling Hal theres no need for a shield. Surfer doesnt have anything powerful enough to kill Hal.
Kyle didnt even need a shield to fight him.
I gave 2 comics where Savage Hulk was knocked out by punches. Believe what you want. But the comics speak for themselves.

SS has an attack that would kill Hal(punch, blast, matter manipulation etc)
