Hal doesn't stop all time everywhere when he does that... He shoots stuff with a beam and they stop. Plus that takes concentration at normal human thought rates. A Surfer at the top of his game could both avoid a beam and probably shoot a blast small enough to knock out but not kill Hal before Hal shoots aforementioned time beam.

You say SS being hit by Hulk is invalid? Both Surfer and Hal have been shown to move at beyond light speeds. So that theory is invalid as well. But yet ppl keep saying SS would speedblitz him.
How would Surfer take the ring? Les say for arguements sake that he somehow did, Hal has a mental connection to the ring and would stll be able to controll it.
Hals ring defies Quantification. I dont know how powerful ION was so ill leave that one alone.
That's not reacting faster than Flash, that's being more observant than Flash. It never said the explosion was an instantaneous ball of destruction, now did it. Surfer's organs are just as strong as his skin if not more so. Even shoving stuff down his throat won't do jack. He doesn't breath nor eat.

If Hal was on the verge of dying and willed himself to stay alive, he can certainly will himself from getting knocked out. Hal knows how it feels to have cosmic energy so he would definantly want to absorb it. If Mongul and Mary Marvel didn't know Hal out, a hammer did? Smells like P.I.S. just like Hulk touching Surfer.

At his best, with no enhancements (which is what this forum is all about,) Surfer thinks, moves, and reacts faster than Hal does at his best.
Surfer and Hal have been shown to fly at greater than light speeds. Only the Surfer has been shown to think and react at greater than light speeds.
Before Hal can think, he gets attacked, and defeated. Not too hard to understand.

No, he was unconscious when he willed himself to stay alive. Unconscious = Defeated.
