GL Hal Jordan vs Silver Surfer

I think Hal would whup SS cuz in Marvel vs DC Kyle went toe-to-toe with Silver Surfer, so i think Hal, who is much more powerful than Kyle, would whup him.

Toe-To-Toe if getting knocked out fast is toe to toe than i guess.

Kyle got his ass kicked by Terrax, and also by Wonder Man in a crossover

SS won that fight.

Not like it matters though, sinse fans voted in the winners. Anything in That book should just not count.

This would be one HELL of a fight. Tough call it could go either way. Both have experience and power. I still gotta go with Surfer though.

I dont think anyone would have the edge here. Power wise, they are the same for the most part.

After 44 pages I still say 50/50 till someone can prove otherwise.

Anyway, jrod, they are pretty even. Probably the most even match-up in this forum. I wish there was a 6-issue fight btwn these two out there to read. I'd be in my glory.

I give Surfer the edge b/c Hal has a Ring. W/o the ring he's just Hal. Even with his wisdom and training, he's still just a mortal being.

Surfer is a living embodiment of his power.

That is some serious disrepect for GL.

Well, if Hal took off his ring for some strange reason, it WOULD be over in a nanosecond. But when Hal has his ring on: NO.

That's why I'd give the fight to Surfer. While it is possible for the Surfer to lose the Power Cosmic, it's alot more difficult for him to lose it than for Hal to lose his ring.

Meh lets just call stalemate. Because if only Hal was still the Spectre, he could just strip Surfer of his powers. That is if he could strip Marvel characters or heralds of Galactus of their powers.

So if this doesn't go 45 pages, 50/50 stalemate. And a great fight in the vs forum.

If you go all the way back to the first page, ive said stalemate from the beginning.

Its true what you said dawsey. If you strip Hal of the ring, hes just a normal being.

Buuut if you strip Surfer of the power cosmic, hes just a normal being as well. He may be a living embodiment of his power, but he was just a mere mortal first.

It would be more difficult to strip Surfer though. Cant argue with that. But in this fight neither can strip one another.

If this was mentioned already in the 43 proceeding pages, I missed it, so here it is (possably again):

Stalemate until 24 hours+one second after Hal last recharged his ring.
The ring then runs out of power and the Surfer wins.

Good point but the GL can fight 24 hours straight if he has to. If the Surfer were to emitt the power cosmic for that long he will be very weak by then.

Your forgetting, he can absorb ambient cosmic energy.

For some reason, I thought they did away with that 24-hour recharge and I also thought they did away with the ring not being able to work on yellow objects. Guess not. (Maybe that was only Kyle's ring.)

Surfer could just absorb energy. That kinda gives it to surfer if Hal still has to recharge his ring after 24-hours.

Read the GL Rebirth mini series. I dont wanna go threw it all again.

You don't have to go through it all again. Just tell me if he has to recharge or if his ring works on yellow objects. I actually have the first three issues of the Rebirth series, but that's it.

He no longer has the yellow weakness. He must still recharge.
