NOne taken. The rings charges may well have to do with how much time is left. Becuz when they are "5%" does this impede what they are capable of doing? NOpe. YOu see when something is truly at 5% of it's original power, then that limits what it can do. I've never seen a ring low on charge not being able to do what it always has. 5% would indicate it was only at 5% capacity, which is NOT the case. 😄
I swear i remember a GL saying he barley had enough energy left to keep him alive in space, and it had nothing to do with time,
Remember when the GL corps first started, kilowog came to the rescue and gathered them together, he asked what their power levels were, when replies came forth, someone had alot of power left and a remark was made that they did not participate in the battle and did not do anything.....which would support my theory on the rings charge?

Surfer has a long history of beating opponents who manipulate energy in a similar way to Green Lanterns. He has been shown to both be able to manipulate this energy himself as well as phase through it, he did it against Quasar for instance.Check out this page for some examples:

Not to mention Hal >>>> Qusar.
The things you mentioned have also been done by Hal.

unfortunately, none of that matters as Hal/GL cannot operate at the speeds Surfer does. nor is Hal/GL as durable, powerful or capable of distance attacks as Surfer is.
what would happen to Hal if Surfer started to siphon the Oan energies from his ring, whilst simultaneously opening a blackhole behind him?
what could Hal do to Surfer?
come on, a GL is never going to beat Surfer.

give me a reasonable scenario. I can't think of one, thus 10/10.
you wanna laugh at it, go ahead, but it's sounding awful hollow to me.and yes Surfer is faster. he's >= Flash in terms of speed. you wanna show me when GLs have out sped Superman, nevermind Flash?
Surfer's 100s of times faster, 100x stronger, 100s of times more durable, has 100,000x greater range (actually there should be more noughts in that, as he can attack/kill from a light year away!) and can do anything a GL can, whatever he wants to do with the Power Cosmic and, more importantly, it doesn't require will power to sustain it or empower it...

that's a surprise to me, scan?Surfer's CA gives him the ability to see across galaxies, tracking even a 'mote of dust'...
but still ... how is a GL going to beat Surfer?
By mocking him about using cosmic power to track random motes of dust until he dies of shame.
Or squish his head with giant ****ing tweezers.

So surfer can beat an army of GL constructs that are all from hals imagination. ANd he just happens to imagine an army of green silver surfers. LMAO.
I don't know what's wrong with some people's arguments. When it comes to versatility the GL's have Surfer beat by a long way. The only advantage Surfer has is his superspeed, with it he could potentially defeat Hal but that's no guarantee.

Kyle once made an army of constructs in a few moments srug
I assume that's what nvr was talking about (since he's probably going to change it right after he reads your post).
That would also fall under prep... wouldn't it?

I am thankfull i am not the only one who noticed this, if this is the way the power levels are goiong to be, i dont see GL's doing so good on these boards(which stinks because they are some of my favorite characters)
I am thinking that feats that require no more concentration than normal...ie flying, auto shields, blocking radiation heat, cold, detection etc can be done for 24 hours
Battle and high end feats will drain the power levels quicker
This might be a good topic for a new thread in the comic section? or in a GL thread already there?
