Well I think it was her power. It is entirely possible it is a power Hancock could do too, but he prolly forgot how after the blow to the head.

It'd be cool seeing him learn to perfect the power and get more control of it than her. Afterall, it would seem she hasn't been trying to really perfect her power.

Not to mention women are NOT supposed to be stronger than men in any way, physically, mentally, emotionally, you name it. Her having more powers is BULLSHIT!!!!

I liked it, and the change in genre/tone didn't bother me at all. Plus, Charlize Theron looked hot in her dark "supergirl" outfit.

It was an alright film.. I laughed cried and sat on the edge of my seat in all the right places.

Out of ten I would give it maybe a 7

I went to sleep watching it.

I would regain consciousness every 10-15 mins. but would go back to sleep. The only thing that kept me up at last was when i pulled a neck muscle when i nodded of and my head just dropped to the side. The pain kept me awake, head sideways with a grin of pain, grasping my neck with one sleepy eye open. So i saw like the last 10 mins of it. I'll catch it on Blu Ray.

My girl summarized the movie for me but i felt indifferent about it.

You ever see Superman, Batman, or Spiderman with substance abuse problems? No. All are handsome and chiseled. One has God-like powers. The others a billionare and that other one gets the girl at the end. While this dude's a bummy alcholoic that sleeps on benches in the inner city, tearing up public places and using foul language along with psuedo wit.

Blade and Luke Cage are two successful Marvel characters. The most successful black character being Black Panther, who is a sophisticated man that runs (Last I checked) his own country or city or something.

But he's a prominent businessman/company owner-ceo/billionaire, though.. That's aside that he was a child genius engineer.

He wasn't an alcolholic in the movie. Hell, I just watched the movie on the internet on Friday and I didn't see him drinking a lot.

Yea, use ad himinem all you want (again) but for every 1 Black superhero you can mention i can name 5-10 (good) white superheros.

And i will watch it "again" (entirely the next time) but i don't think with much enthusiasm. As i'm just not that into Blaxploitation films especially one directed by a white guy.

If films with subtle satire sprinkled with established negative stereotypes about a certain group is your thing that you have at it.

How do you even summon the courage to deny the fact that you're a racist toward white people? Really. It's a skill I am genuinely both in awe of and disgusted by.

Don't go calling Will Smith a "n*gga" and then moan about racism. I seriously doubt Will Smith would be fine with it, and would treat it as bad as he would if it came from a white man. Would you be cool with a white man saying that? Negative stereotypes? You need to realise that you are looking for any excuse to call this film racist. It's negative because ANYBODY being the way Hancock was, is not a good way to be. It isn't saying "Don't be like this black guy, cos this is what black guys do, you know.", and if you think it was, you're being ridiculous.

I wanna break this down, so I'm going to continue with my idea about why you are how you are. This is what I don't get:

Will Smith is one of the most liked, successful men in Hollywood, and you dislike the man. It's like you are only satisfied by a black man's success if he does it in a "black man" way, which says all kinds of things about how you're not really about being anti-black stereotypes, pro-black equality and are ACTUALLY pro-black superiority. You're as big a racist as any bigoted white man. You're not satisfied with a black guy or woman unless they're doing black guy/woman things, in a way that is promoted as superior.

Hancock is a black, invulnerable superhero who helps people, stops WHITE men robbing people, and you wanna talk about how it's a racist film? Why? You are the one projecting the idea that some white man is promoting this as a way of life for black people, you're reading far too much into it. It must be such a shitty existence to hate racism, be a racist and see racism in every possible area, for the sake of bitching.

There's probably going to be a black president this year. That alone if a milestone in human history, but you'll probably find A reason to whine. You're just never satisfied unless you're villainising white people, Fist. It's really pathetic.

Of course, now I'll likely get the "I'm not racist." tirade, but you are, sir. You might not be a racist of Ku Klux Klan proportions, but you are a racist. You have prejudice toward white people, it's factually evident in any thread you've discussed racism.

In fact, IMO it was better.

Dark, he has no clue what the hell he's talking about. He just agrees with whatever he thinks sound right. And trust me when I say this, he's never right.

Anyway, I watched this movie on my CP and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Again, great superhero flick, awesome plot, fantastic actors, etc.

Okay, there's something simple to say to both you & Alpha: You're both jackasses. For one, this movie isn't racist. I've watched it twice & I see no damn racism in it, especially since there have been alcolholic white superheroes long before Hancock was even thought of. Just shut up, stop making stupid comments, and enjoy the movie or ignore it. Truly simple.
