Joe flat out stated that those who actually write

the comics don't reffer to the Marvel Universe as the whole Marvel

(including the Ultimate line etc) but just a part of the totality.

Okay then, explain to me then why those who were summoned to fight Thanos w/HOTU were only from the prime Multiverse ? Hell, they needed all the help they could get, and since even Hank Pym and such were there, it was obvious that pretty much anybody who could fight was present . Why weren't the Ultimates there ? Why no other beings from outside the prime Marvel Multiverse ?

The Ultimates and everything else outside of the 616 Reality was absorbed,
Thanos clearly pointed out others that could "others might threaten his reign"
this is why he continued to absorb the ENTIRE Marvel Universe 'nothing remained"

Just Like Jim Starlin officially stated:

The ENTIRE Marvel Universe!

So just because he was thinking about something else it is an 'excuse' for him not knowing that Warlock would come through the portal ? Good one.

On the same page where he is clueless about Warlock coming through the portal,
he says that "Nothing remained".

Yea, cause that's all he was doing, just simply thinking. Good one 😂

AGAIN!!!

Thanos on that SAME PAGE was distraught,
overwhelmed with regret over what he had done, (erasing Marvel)
so in this state of turmoil for a moment he was obviously distracted,
but the instant he focused again,
he KNEW exactly where Warlock was plus the details:

Next Page BEFORE Warlock said a word:

All of a sudden Thanos KNOWS exactly WHERE Warlock was,
with WHO and WHAT he was doing there:

Thanos said "Nothing remains" ...
and NOTHING did remain withIN Time/Space.

Read the scan though homie,
Warlock was OUTSIDE of Space/Time ...

Thanos absorbed ALL of Space/Time:

So withIN Space/Time ... well ... "Nothing remains" 🙂

And you seem to miss my point. It has nothing to do with Thanos deducting knowing where Warlock was during the time he beat and absorbed the others, it was him not knowing who would be coming through the portal.

Handled.

It is stated that Mistress Death exists in a plane outside this reality, so if Thanos didn't knew that she still existed, it means that his Omniscience and Omnipresence isn't all encompassing.

Or it could be that sub-consciously he allowed Death to survive,
because of his eternal love for her.

Warlock stated the reason for Thanos letting him live,
was for someone to "witness" Thanos' "grand gesture"
that "grand gesture" is ... re-creating/healing the ENTIRE Marvel Universe.

====================================

If Thanos wanted, he could've absorbed Death too,
and Warlock.

Isn't it a coincidence though,
that Thanos only left (as far as anyone knows) Two realities behind, (or beings)
Death (his life-time infatuation) and ...
Atlea's realm which contained Warlock.

Warlock, I remember Thanos saying he saw no reason not to erase Warlock aswell,
You know what Warlock responded with:

"Except then no one would witness your grand gesture"

Thanos replies, "I was not aware that I had one planned"

Warlock responds, "The security of the Void is not your way Titan"

......................................................................................................

What do yall think that means?

Warlock knew Thanos would end up Re-Creating everything (his grand gesture)
because like he told Thanos:

"I understand you, better than, perhaps, you do yourself,
why I have trusted you so many times in the past
"

"The security of the Void is not your way Titan"

Precisely, Thanos doesn't wanna rule over nothing, a Void. 🙂

......................................................................................................

IMO,
it's quite conceivable
that Thanos (subconsciously) allowed Death and Warlock to survive for said reasons.

Death for love ...

and Warlock for This .. to witness This:

Omniscience means knowing what is, has or will be happening at any time. It doesn't have limits, that have already proven, nor is it influenced by any factors such as 'I was so emotional after killing everybody' or 'I was so engrossed in my newfound power that I didn't notice'.

Seriously, what the hell is up with this arguments ?

Gibberish.

Thanos had just merged with the power of God/THOTI, like a few pages back,
you don't expect euphoria to set in?

Jeesh, Thanos himself gave the reason WHY he was distracted for a moment:

"So engrossed was I, in my NEW FOUND Omnipotence
that I did not sense this fateful meeting
"

Do you really think that the One Above All's power would be this limited ?

Seriously, what the hell is up with this argument? (see, I can do that too) 😬

TOAA has always had his power,
Thanos had JUST acquired that power,
how can you compare the two? :doh

Actually no, you can't have it both ways.
Either Thanos didn't become the embodiement of God
thus the reason he couldn't fix the Universe without destroying and recreating it, or the One Above All is also limited thus the limitation on Thanos.

Gibberish.

Thanos became God, the Supreme Being on panel, in bios,
and according to the Writer (Jim Starlin) himself.

Thanos did fix the flaw, the only way it was possible to fix.
(that's the way the story was written)

If Thanos would've been able to fix the flaw by simply waving a hand,
then the arc would've ended in the middle of issue #4.

And Jim needed to erase ALL of Marvel, so that wasn't an option.

You want to go with your line of reasoning ? Okay, I'll destroy your argument using it. Since you say 'God' limited himself for the purpose of the story (unable to fix the flaw in the Universe) than that means that even if Thanos truly did recive God's power, then it was a limited one's power, thus not the actual embodiement of God's power who should be able to do/know everything.

God limiting himself is just my theory to tolerate certain intransigences,
the fact is,
Thanos was God the Almighty Supreme Being of Marvel.

He had no limits, but it's a freakin comic book story
and it has to follow a sequence that gives the story meaning.

Usually, actually ALWAYS, stories involving Cosmics, or omnipotent powers,
contain PIS!

Why?

Well, to make a story that can last more than a two pages.

Like Thanos acquires THOTI in one page,
the next page, Thanos waves his hand and either fixes the flaw,
or erases and re-creates Marvel with the same wave of the hand.

See, one way or another, that's a cheesy story,
hence the PIS!

Yes. 🙂

I have proved all of my points and if anybody actually reads our discussion, he would realize that you've never actually proved any of them wrong and you heavily rely on speculation for countering some of them, while dodging others.

From this point on, the discussion has no point since I've already said what I had to say and you're not actually countering anything, so I'll just let those who read it make up their minds.

I think I'm going to save this discussion for the next time somebody brings up the fact that Thanos became the 'God'.

You have a problem with Thanos/THOTI becoming God the Almighty Supreme Being?

Here's Thanos' 2008 bio: (at the bottom)

Damn skippy. 👆

Ok so Thanos decides he's going to be the supreme being, and the order proclaims him God, some how make him God? WHAT THE HELL? That doesn't make him God just because he's more powerful than everyoen else nor does it make him supreme because that was his intention. He's been down that road before.

Yea, I figured you'd return with the typical spin.

You havent proven one thing. There are interviews and on panel confirmations about Thanos being god.

I think most have made up their minds and the side with Thanos. They also so your dodging as to why Spectre actually wins. You provided no scans or no real reasoning as to why you think he wins.

there have been countless scans put up explaining what actually happened as opposed to your skewed version of events.

The verdict is in and Thanos wins this convincingly. To me you showed us your dc biased becuase when push came to shove you just stood there and did nothing. You didnt even debate for the Spectre at all and simply gave him the win because he is from dc and with nothing to back it up. 🙂

Well if you want to avoid the writers own interpretation of things and on panel confirmation then youd have a point but in doing so you are ruining your credibility. You cant argue with the proof thats brought to the table. If anyone brings an interview from Starlin then there is absolutely nothing you can say, nothing. Go ahead and try to find fault and say you didnt like it but theres on panel confirmation as well.

Concede or remain ignorant.

Yes as in „Yes, I have destroyed your argument” 🙂

Will simply be disaproved again ? No, not really, since you haven't disaproven it now either, and no amount of copy-paste from saved documents is going to change that.

I've proven that Thanos wasn't 'God' in either of the aspects that describe him, which is Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence.

You really dont get it. Everyones preconceived notions abouts gods supreme power in comics doesnt matter. For one you cant have a good story with a godlike being just raising his hand and ending the problem no one would care if theres no conflict or problem to be solved.

You have only proven you cant stand Thanos wins this thread and are ignoring writers statements that Thanos was god in this comic. You are also ignoring on panel confirmations.

Who else gave Spectre the win in here besides you?
