That actually looks like Ultra Man... Not Superman.

And no, not the same thing.

But still, I laughed. 😱

Not quite.

You've been storming on some Anti-Morrison crusade for a while, but Morrison is one of best in the bussiness, regardless of your preference, the body of his work speaks for itself, from JLA, to 52, Animal Man, Arkham Asylum, Seven Soldiers.

Dini's Batman has been good, I won't argue that, but is he better than Morrison overall?
Don't forget, Dini wrote Countdown.

More like a critique rather than crusade.

No one is disputing that Morrison is bad writer. But on Batman? He's not entirely there...from what I've seen he has been pleasing HIS own fanbase and NOT the entire Batman fanbase. So there are two groups here...Morrison fans and Batman readers. I'm sure you're quite aware that Batman fans have been split on R.I.P. for awhile. Plus the delays have not help this storyline. They're disorganize, unprepare, and possibly quite egotistic. That is a HUGE "count me out" attitude to both Didio and Morrison.

Dini is not responsible for the mess of Countdown. That goes to Didio for not been organize with the staff. Besides a writer like Dini has the experience and understands the Batman family quite well. He's proving that in the past.

The ending to the Hush story seemed lame to me. So much more Catwoman could have done, or even Batman himself.

Spoiler:
He was in the Bat-cave with everything at his disposal...

Actually I think a lot of people are disputing that.

It depends on what you're looking for in your comics. A storyline and writing that does the same thing over and over again, even if it does it well, that "pleases the Batman fanbase" versus something new, and different, or, God forbid, even brings in new readers to comics; something that's an example of "good storytelling" versus "good Batman writing..."

The only work i ever read from Morrison that was good was ...Animal Man....and i loved it......absolutley loved it...does that get him a free pass for the rest of his writing days....NO!..everything else i ever read from him was crap.....i dont like his style nor his talent...and his attitutde in interviews is attrocious....good or bad....the proof is in the pudding...Batman R.IP and Final Crisis.....are a bore fest, and confusing as hell.......why Morrison fans keep supporting him and defending him is funny, its good or bad....thats it....and i.m.o....Morrison and Didio both should be tossed out and bring in some real talented people

Both are great, most all of his work is. 🙂

Occasionally, I do that as well, but I can't call it till I finally get the last chapter of R.I.P. Which God knows when will that EVER be release.

Fact is this...there is NO organization at DC right now. People may pin this on Didio. But it takes TWO to Tango. I put the blame on both Morrison and Didio. This R.I.P. story should have been settle months ago. Changing the ending near the last chapter is lack of discipline and pretty much sloppy work and insecurity.

Well that's pretty easy in Batman books. He solves crimes with his detective skills. Then beats up the bad guys. Simple...silver age stuff.

Not really.

In order for you to be a critique, you must have more than a personal opinion and endless "Morrison Sucks, Didi is so much better, Dec > Batman" posts.

From a critical standpoint, I can assure you that Batman: RIP is a lot better than the Hush storyline. From a fan's point of view, it depends. I, for one, consider RIP (and Morrison's run overall) to be the best Batman storyline ever written in the mainstream DCU. This may be because I've actually invested time in this whole run, and it's been a lot of fun trying to anticipate how everything will unfold. It's fresh. It's entertaining. It's mysterious. It's intelligent. It's pretty much everything I want from a comic. To each his own, though.

On the other hand, though Dini's run has been good, this type of posts are really getting old:

Really? Well, damn hot diggity! Morrison better come up with darn good explanation why Batman has been completely and utterly out of character. Bruce is been nothing but careless as far as whom to trust. The romance with Jezebel is so rush that is not even funny. That villain in R.I.P. better have some super powers otherwise Batman really drop the ball here. There is only one character capable of pulling all this and that is Ra. He better be in the story...if not....oh, there goes everything.

Further more...Heart of Hush hit the nail by showing what REALLY happens when someone infiltratres the Batcave. I really had a hard time believing that the Black Glove infiltrated the cave and then destroying.

Even worse Gordon in this story is FAR more worse than out of character. He has the entire Gotham City Police Dept fill with detectives and he can't even investigate the allegations agaisnt Thomas???? That's not all! He walks into Wayne manor accompany by ONE single cop?? Again, he has the entire Gotham Police Department at his disposal and gets caught off guard so easy? No, I don't buy that for a second.

Call R.I.P. Mysterious...call it intriguing...heck! call it entertaining if you like....but INTELLIGENT???? No, not for all the gold in El Dorado.

I suspect the relationship with Jezebel Jet is supposed to be questionable. As it was put in Batman 677:

Bruce: When we met in London, it was like I'd know you all my life. It felt like meeting you was always meant to happen.

With the recent developments in Batman 680, it is obvious there is more to Jezebel than meets the eye.

You're really reaching with the 'infiltrating the cave stuff', so much that it's actually funny.

The Gordon stuff, once he found out about the whole Wayne family deal, went to talk to Bruce, so he had no reason to actually bring the police department with him (lulz). You'd know this if you would actually .. you know .. pay attention to the story. 🙂

Now, I'd rather not continue this discussion since, seeing your 'arguments', it will most likely degenerate. (I'm not really a patient person, and you're a mod. That's a pretty bad combination, lol).
