Anything Batman RIP and not written by Morrison is out of continuity to me and probably a shit piece not worth reading.
Wow... really?
Thanks for that opinion. Maybe DC should take it under advisement.
Cause you know... people are talking about how great Morrison's writing is... not confusing or annoying at all. Absolutely not written for trade...
Yeah... I was being sarcastic.

Also being sarcastic.
OMFG!!!!!!
The previews for TEC #849 are up!
Batman has lost it!!!! This is the MOST violent Batman I've EVER seen in my 20 years of following the characters.
I knew Hush push the wrong buttons by hurting Selina! Hahahaha!!!! This is the Batman push to the limits I really dig!
Go Dini!!! keep pwning R.I.P. with Hearth of Hush!
I'm beyond excited at this time!!! They gonna have call in Clark to stop Batman!!! hahahaha 😄
KICK THE SHIT OUT OF HUSH BATS!!!!!!!
Man! Hush just totally PWN3D in that issue!!!!!!
"It doesn't matter whom you're with--diplomat, socialite, or superpowered freak, there has only been one woman that really held your heart"
Hush not only push the wrong buttons with Batman...but he also likes to lick the wounds! Friggin Awesome....Hush is just one sick Bastard!
Hahaha!
I'm coming around to RIP more than Hush right now.
For all the dark twists (Selina's machine was cool, btw), Hush is just another villain who kidnapped a damsel in distress and is explaining his master plan to Batman as he smugly takes too long to kill him. Different art, slightly less graphic setting, and that story could take place in the 60's.
RIP is bringing Batman's mind to a halt. For all we know he might've just become as insane as the Joker, who is goading him into the understanding of true madness more so than trying to kill him or those around him. A needed twist, though Morrison's obscure writing style still rubs me wrong. But I love the premise.
You have a valid point.
But...you could say the same about Jezebel Jet as the damsel in distress and add one confused hero going to her rescue. There goes Morrison style...
mmm
The mystery here is the machine...is it really a product of Apokolips? If so, that would be a huge hint to Darkseid. Either way...Hush outsmarted Bats here and I would daresay that if Hush didn't had the leverage of Selina's beating heart....Batman would have really broken his neck. The hint was clearly made by his brutal attack on Crane. Which was rather shocking and disturbing.

Fair enough, though I'd counter that the damsel scenario isn't the final point, whereas it is in the Hush story. Even the Black Hand guy makes fun of the cliche nature of the setup in RIP. But the point of the ruse is Batman's breakdown, which is an added layer to the otherwise-normal plot.
Neither is revolutionary. Both are good. I just prefer RIP.

Actually that's very unlikely. It's more likely from solits (Battle for the Cowl, I think?) that one of these guys will be Batman post RIP....
Nightwing
Robin
Jason Todd
Hush
If I were writing it, in my ideal comic book world, Nightwing would take up the mantle, Tim would be the new Nightwing and Damien would be the new Robin.

am i the only one that noticed that the joker was hinted at being a respected neurosurgen with a wife and kids who "turns" into the joker by ingesting some sort of venom-like-joker-juiced serum? WTF?
That was the Quasimodo dude that accompanied him to the Black Hand's shindig. I think, at least.

Nooooope...the final point in Heart of Hush appears to be that Hush will replace Bruce as Batman. I'm willing to bet that Dini has saved something really spicy for the ending as the previews have mention:
"And the life of Bruce Wayne will never be the same as the confrontation with his childhood friend Tommy Elliot reveals a terrible and shocking secret!"
I'm calling it now....Tommy Elliot will be
Spoiler:
The illegitimate son of Thomas Wayne! Hush is a bastard son...both Bruce and Tommy are brothers. Thus revealing the reason why he hates Bruce so much
Here is my theory....Hush will become Batman and he will try to taint the image of Batman....Dick along with Tim and Selina will stand against Tommy.
mmm

Valid point again....but Heart of Hush is a lot more accessible and easier to follow than R.I.P.
