Only Settle for Victory

Most of the people who like Hush do it mostly because they hate Morrison/Batman R.I.P., not really because it is such an extrordinary arc. The way I see it, if we look at the Dini run overall, it is one of the 'average' storylines.
Or it could just be that Dini's a little easier to follow than Morrison. I'm admittedly not a fan of his, but I still have been reading Batman and own quite a few trades Morrison has done on Batman. Honestly, I feel Morrison writes best when he writes for trade. And this feels heavily like he is writing Batman this way.
The next issue of Detective is going to be a double sized issue, so we'll have to wait and see if its worth it. Batman has been confusing but is starting to tie up nicely.
Has anybody else thought of the idea that maybe it is Hush parading around as Batman in the Batman comic, and in Final Crisis? I mean, it could happen, and this is just a deep reach, but Dini did say on his livejournal (or an interview that was linked on his livejournal) that Detective happens before Batman, not at the same time, and I believe he said it was before Final Crisis. So that would kind of make things a little more interesting.
The thing I have noticed is that there really doesn't seem to be a lot of continuity with all the Batman books. You'd think Morrison would sit everyone down and say, "Look, this is what's going on... follow my lead." But it appears to me all the other writers are just as in the dark as we are.
I also happen to like the art in Hush. With Dini's writing I think it's a good fit - I would describe it as a cross between the Animated Series and Mike Mignola.
