anyone remember Dare Devil?? Ben Affleck was pretty famous and that movie sucked. Tobey Maguire wasn't that famous when he did Spider-man, and it was great

what you have to understand is that they have a finite budget for movies, spend money on the actor or the writers, that's what it usually comes down to

Sometimes the choice is just as critical as to who plays the villain.

Daredevil wasn't THAT bad.... I liked it. As for MaGuire and Spiderman, both are crappy.

I feel that if they could get a cast like the one in the Ocean's movies together you can do it for The Avengers. That was 12-14 people whereas this will be about 5-6 people.

Red IMO has the better acting part than Cap, thus the actor must have the skills.

Robert Downey Jr is not a tall guy, not even as tall as Gwyneth Paltrow, yet you wouldn't know watching Ironman. Matt Damon would be around 5'10-5'11 or so, and it's not like he looks and shorter.

This casting is going to be as hard as for Thor. People seem to want to cast a young bloke as CA, but I really can't see someone like Jensen Ackles or whatever next to RDJ as a leader.
