The First Avenger: Captain America

Why do the majority of the people here (in this thread) want shit actors to play both Cap and Thor? 90% of the actors suggested are either just blonde pretty-boys, with minimal acting talent, or huge buff WWE wrestlers. You guys do realize that if actors like that were casted, you'd end up extremely disappointed, right?

The guy I suggested is a decent actor who could pull off the role. Such a film only requires the acting to be acceptable and believable, he could easily do that. It is after-all a big dumb comic book blockbuster not the next There Will be Blood. 😬

I agree with you about the wrestlers though. They have no acting talent and any film with *lol* Triple bloody H in it automatically fails.

we just need someone who can pull it off, the look and the acting

as long as they don't get some latino guy, dye his hair blond, give him blue contacts, and try to pass him off as a white guy *cough*Jessica Alba*cough*

Okay, I know I'm going to upset some people when I say this, but what is so wrong with Triple H playing Thor? He's a big guy whose weapon of choice is a hammer. Hmmm... Thor... big guy... uses hammer. totally okay with me.

He doesn't have to have a lot of speaking lines. Especially if they're going to focus more on Blake and stuff like that.

I know, people are going to freak out on me for that, but honestly, Thor really has never been one of those guys who strikes me as a guy that needs to talk a lot anyway. And, verily, we should be keeping this talk in a Thor movie thread anyway, but I had to get that out of my system.

People are going to complain no matter who they get for the part of Cap and the part of Thor. I think they should pick someone who looks the part and can halfway act. They don't need to be Russ Crowe or Tom Hanks acting level, just adequate, because most of the movie is going to be action anyway, and special effects, so who really cares if the guy wins an Oscar. Just because people want to give one to Heath Ledger, doesn't mean every Comic movie has to be something worthy of a little gold statue, just VERY good entertainment, true to the source material, and all out enjoyable to watch.

I mean, people gushed over the new Hulk, and there's no way that was Ed Norton's greatest role. So please, people, just enjoy whoever they get, enjoy the movie, and stop complaining before the guy gets a chance to prove himself.

And I'm done for now.

Triple H has long been rumored to play Conan if they ever get that film back on screen..

As for him being Thor, he could work I guess

I wouldn't mind Triple H as Thor.... as long as they get a bigger name for Captain America.

H has tired acting already and not only did he suck, he was very corny also.

Hes no Dwayne Johnson.

im tellin ya, Kevin Mckidd would be perfect for Cap.

you shouldn't be allowed to watch movies

😛

All I'm saying, consider it.

Slap some hair dye on the guy, and you're done. We all know he can act.

I can buy that.

I can't. He's British. A British actor can't play Captain America. 🙄

He can do an American accent if you've ever watched Torchwood.

I'm not sure a tv actor can play this part..

Torchwood is a good show, but Captain America is like Batman, an icon and icons should be treated with respect..

I have no doubt that when finally casted it will hopefully be a good choice

Meh, still say Matthew McConaughey is the best choice.

I like him in some movies, but as Steve Rogers/Capt. America I can't get past his Texas twang

I know I'm going to sound homophobic, but aren't there enough jokes about Cap and Bucky (just like Batman and Robin) without having a homosexual actor play Cap?

Honestly, I love the actor. I think he's awesome and I really, really enjoy Torchwood and his appearances on Dr. Who, but I don't think he's right for this part.

next suggestion?

I was watching a show the other day, the Mentalist, and I don't know who plays the main character but I think he could be a good Cap...

...he'd be a better DD though.
