STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Learner

"I can't see anything beyond fog and trees, but I sense no danger. I will not leave Myraline in the ship by herself, though." Rianna replies.

"It may be best to set up camp," Palpatine says.

Rianna will agree that that sounds like a good idea. She'll instruct Palpatine to gather up anything that could be useful and bundle it into the blanket from Quinn's room (assuming that it's not wet and fuel-covered), and she'll concentrate on getting Myraline out of the ship.

You can find some equipment and blankets that aren't going to combust. After getting Palpatine and Myraline onto the muddy shores where the Last Chance has sunk in, you get to run back and forth between the ship and the shore as old man Palpatine isn't quite in shape to be climbing crashed starships.

Above the starship and the trees, the sun of this world is setting. Darkness falls shortly after you have camp set up.

"This is a dire situation indeed," Palpatine says, warming himself by the small fire as fog and mist rolls off of the dark lake. "We do not even know where we are or what happened to the pilot!"

"No. And I would like to go looking for Quinn now, but I'm not sure if that's the best idea now that darkness has fallen." Rianna replies, still sensing about for anything out of place. "If I knew what sort of wildlife there was, and when it was active, then I would not be so hesitant..."

The amount of life in what appears to be a jungle is overwhelming, so you are having trouble sensing anything at all. But nothing is coming near.

"It may be safer to go in the morning," Palpatine says. "After all, you are my protector. What will happen to me if you get eaten out in these jungles?"

"I will wait for morning. Perhaps by then the fog will have lifted some." Rianna says, sighing, as she doesn't particularly want to wait. "I will keep watch."

"A reasonable suggestion, Rianna," Palpatine says. "I will retire. This day has been surprisingly tiring. Goodnight."

Palpatine places himself in the makeshift tent that you made for him. Myraline has her own, as do you.

The jungle around you is noisy, and every so often you think you hear noises from the lake. You cannot see anything clearly; it is dark underneath the trees and the fog stays thick and you think it may not even be fog at all, but some sort of mist or smoke rising off of the lake. And even the fire is disorienting, casting flickering light across your surroundings so you cannot focus on any one thing for too long.

This is the first time you have truly been without the counsel of Master Myraline whilst on a mission. She has not stirred since you found her comatose.

Rianna is certainly a bit nervous and worried - nervous because of the fact that she only has her own thoughts to rely on, nervous and worried she will make a wrong decision, or has done so already...and also worried about Myraline and the fact that she hasn't so much as stirred since Rianna found her.

She also finds this place unsettling and is feeling restless as always, and is still somewhat unnerved by her dream from before, and is wondering if this is the same jungle world she was on in that. And she is also both impatient and annoyed with the fact that she can't go out searching now and has to wait.

Anyway, Rianna will be glad, for once, of the fact that she generally doesn't sleep much and keep looking out as best she can, sensing for any danger or anything approaching, her lightsaber in her hand just in case.

You cannot be certain of your vision... but this does feel familiar in a very vague sense. You have not been here, but you feel as though you have. You wish Myraline was conscious to explain the sensation.

All things to consider for yourself. You need to keep a level head and not give in to your rising fear. You are a Jedi and you will find a way out of this situation.

Nothing ever comes out of the jungle toward your campfire. You do find yourself dozing off every so often, but you catch yourself and remain awake until Palpatine rises, before the sun, and tells you that he will take the rest of the watch so that you may rest.

"You will need your energy for the day to come," Palpatine says.

"I'll try and sleep, then...please come and wake me if you think there is anything amiss." Rianna replies, glad for the chance to rest. While she doesn't sleep much, she also generally doesn't stay up the entire night...especially after everything that's happened.

She will head to her tent, then, trying to think of things calmly and rationally, and not letting her worries get to her too much.

Sleep overtakes you. Thankfully, no visions assail you in your sleep, and what little shut-eye you get gives you energy and quiets your worries, for now.

Everything returns to you once you awake, remembering that you are stranded on an unknown world in a jungle without your Master to help you.

Palpatine is cooking the Star Wars equivalent of Spam over a small fire when you leave your small tent.

"Sleep well, I hope?" Palpatine asks.

"I did, actually, thank you." Rianna replies, feeling better having gotten some rest.

Has the fog lifted any or is it as bad as it was the day before? Rianna will want to go searching for Quinn as soon as possible.

It does not seem to have gotten any better, but in daylight it is not so difficult to see through.

What is the plan to find Quinn, if he can be found?

Hmmm, good question.

I think a good start would be to look for any more wreckage of the ship. Perhaps if Rianna climbed back up onto the top of the ship, she could get a good look at the area.

As a reminder, the view from the starship is obstructed by abnormally tall jungle trees and vines and the like.

Yeah, but if there was anything else in the lake, then that'd be the best place to try and get a look.

It's too bad Rianna's not better with the Force, since using Sense isn't getting much that's useful...

The life in this jungle is too dense for your ill-tuned Senses to pick things out.

True. So we're climbing up on the ship then to look into the lake?

Yes. See if there's any other wreckage in the area that could be what's left of the cockpit or anything like that. It's as good a place to start as I can think of, because if there's at least a trail of wreckage it'll give a direction for Rianna to start searching in.

The fog is dense enough that it is difficult to tell if there is anything in the lake... but considering how the ship has crashlanded on what would have been its nose, you do not think that the cockpit is somewhere ahead of it, and so not in the lake.
