STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Learner

Nothing else in the cockpit?

Well, the fact that the Maw is dead is reassuring, at least. Rianna doesn't feel like dealing with anymore of them it at all possible. But she's not really sure what to do now.

I guess...back up the trees to see if she can see anything else from up there?

No. Control panels have been ripped out of place by the sudden plant growth of man-eating vines that seem to enjoy ruining everything around them. Passenger seats have been torn up. Storage containers broken into.

Climbing back out through a broken window onto the top of the ruined cockpit... you feel like you are being watched.

Rianna is going to look and sense around, to see if she can find who or what is watching her.

Let's make that a Sense check and an Observation check... both of which turn up nothing. Whatever it is, you are not seeing it and it is difficult to pinpoint with your inspecific senses.

Well, Rianna will keep her lightsaber handy until she finds out what is watching her, or no longer feels that something is watching her.

But for the moment, continue the search...

As far as the parts of the ship are concerned, your trail has gone cold.

From the top of the tree, there seems to be a larger clearing if you continue on. You cannot see what is in it.

Rianna will go and investigate the larger clearing, then.

Rianna is hopping from tree to tree. The paddle-shaped leaves are strong enough that you can put your full weight on them without worry of them ripping or falling.

You would swing on the plentiful vines that are hanging about, but you have already had some bad experiences with them.

The entire time, the feeling that you are being watched (and now followed) does not go away.

You come to the edge of the larger clearing, peering down from the heights of the tall trees... and see buildings! Civilization!

Oooh. Civilization is good. Maybe Rianna can find out where they are and find help, or something.

But first, she's going to look back to see if she can see or sense what is following her.

You can sense something, but not what or where it is. Nor can you see anything out of the ordinary.

Moving into the town, you find that it is quiet. Most of the buildings are low and seemingly simplistic, with little evidence of technology other than blast shields that are drawn over the windows and doors.

The village itself is arranged in a straight line, like strip malls on both sides of a single street. The street widens towards the center of the village and there is a larger building with antennae and scanners on its roof. The windows there are also covered with blast shields, as are the side doors.

There is a single grand door that is not covered, made of wood.

No people around/outside that she can see? Can Rianna at least sense if there's any one in the village?

Either way, she'll approach the large building and...I dunno...knock on the door I suppose 😛

It feels empty, but, as ever, the jungle life is confusing your senses.

But you think you can sense someone in the large building.

No answer.

Hmmm. How about simply opening the door then, I suppose? Preferably without just cutting it down...

It creaks openly slowly, revealing darkness beyond.

Probably a good thing Rianna grabbed those glowrods she had found in the ship, then...she'll take one out and see what she can see in there.

"Hello?" she calls out, cautiously entering.

No response.

The first room has a pair of staircases that go up along the outer wall to the next floor, which features a balcony. Directly ahead of you is a reception desk- unattended- and two doors on either side of it.

Rianna will check the door to the right of the desk first. Check out this entire floor before looking upstairs, basically.

Going through allows you to see that the right and left door both lead to the same room. It has a long table with many seats. Nothing else of note upon first glance.

Are there any other doors in this room that lead anywhere?

If not, then Rianna will try upstairs.

Does she sense anything out of the ordinary or is it the same as before still?

Inside, you are able to concentrate your senses on a much smaller surrounding than the vast jungle beyond. You still feel you are being watched and you can sense someone in the building.

On the way out of the room you notice what can only be a scorch mark from blaster fire on the backside of the door.

The upstairs consists of offices, several rooms branching off from hallways. Someone is up here.
