Actually we're still better - more blade tricks and a bonus on lightsaber attacks 😊
I forgot about this as well. So Xavier is still your superior in everything Combat related 😈
and Xavier is still pretty fast 😉
Ush, I was wondering, now that combat's about to start and I'm looking at these Force powers...
Can we vets argue a change to your conversion? Because Dak has like, never Combat Pushed, and rarely thrown his sabers, so Master Push/Pull doesn't seem right. Master Balance, on the other hand, contains Twirl and Spin, which Dak used the hell out of last game.
So Master Balance just seems like it'd make a lot more sense than Master Push/Pull.
Con, your character is fine.
Some limited changes to your schtik set ups will be allowed after this first fight (especially Blade Schticks, which were updated before the 'no stacking with Guards' rules amendment was clarified- though there is still a tactical advantage to doubling up on a similar Guard and non-guard, for tapping purposes).
Also some characters were converted using a strict rules-based process that I was using at first, and then I changed to doing it by feel as I got more used to the new powers.
However, custom tweaking will be disapproved of. The old Force system was abusable in many ways; your conversions are representing your relative advancement in that area of the Force, and quite often that means not having access to powers that you used to. I am highly resistant to this process being used as an excuse to re-make your characters, elkse I shall be here forever. In Dak's case, the proportions are as they were before. Dak used to have six Kinetic and nine Martial powers. In the new system, he has two Kinetic and four Martial. If anything I have unduly favoured the martial tree. There is no chance I will make that split one and five.
All I can say is, you shouldn't have taken kinetics in the first place if you didn't want them now!
So I shall take things on a case by case basis.
I'd like to make the argument that before, on the last incarnation of the rules system anyway, we didn't actually get a huge amount of choice as to which powers we selected...I know I had ended up with a bunch of powers I didn't want but had no choice but to take.
Riposte in this system makes me feel iffy about it which sucks.
Well to be entirely honest, Ush, I didn't understand how everything meshed together way back then, and had I gotten it at creation I would have focused on the Martial tree near-exclusively.
But how am I attempting to "re-make" my character? I mean, I could understand that if I was arguing for, say, Master Coordination, because I didn't have Combination or Flurry but discovered I really would have rather liked them.
I don't mean to whine, but as attached to Dak as I am I'd just like as faithful a conversion as possible.
