lol, I just remember the anti-metal part. I had forgotten we made a contingency for vibranium.

You were a lot better at scan-finding than me back then. I pushed as hard as I did for Warlock because I was sh*t terrified of half the other people we were considering. I at least had a fair amount on him in my collection, and he also had a workable respect thread at the time (the respect forum was in its infancy, so there wasn't as much selection).

As for Digi's Minion Prime's tactics being compared to Our Nimrod's...

No comment. 🙂

And remember folks ... just cos a couple of judges believed the "soul suck" thing this time doesn't make it canon, it can be disputed at any time in any other match.

...and if the judges ever were not to believe it, I still have KK's skill meshed with a Class 100 behemoth like Minion, as well as a couple others I may add in the next few weeks. Worst case scenario, and I still have a fairly considerable amp for the entire tournament. I didn't bank everything on one plan, but made sure I'd be ok even without it. As it is, I do have it, and you were wrong ( 😛 ).

I remember at one point we were starting to rely on a scan I found of Doom turning Storm into organic metal. Which wasn't good.😛

Sounds pretty par for the course from you guys and the believability of your plans.

The funny thing is that now I know we could have just used Madison's powers on Doom's armor to create a machine to create the metal we needed from the raw ore in the ground. There's scans from Alpha Flight of Jeffries using his powers to manipulate his ship and take on rock from the ground and process and convert it's minerals into metals, and also break the rock's atomic bonds to generate power for the ship itself. I just wasn't aware of the scans at the time. deadfox

I didn't ask KM any questions, actually (though I really should have). I tend to form and research my plans independently to minimize any possible leaks. Looking back though, if I'd just asked him I could have saved us a lot of research headaches, though we still never got to use the plan with the tourney getting nuked (B-Dub's built on the initial prototype and been successful with it though).

Asking for outside help is pretty weak though ... it's like flat out admitting that you can't win by yourself.

A team member isn't "outside help" though ... it's not like I'd go around asking random KMCers for advice or scans.

I've PM'd 1 or 2 people in my day asking if a character has done a specific thing that would help me. But it's after my own research.

I've also been asked about characters. And one (a Wildcat) was twice. Unfortunately I couldn't help them (I only collected Stormwatch and Authority at the time), but it's flattering to be asked and possibly help out some. And heck, leo had some rather obvious help from me back when he had Minion. But to his credit he also researched him on his own too.

If you start asking outsiders for arguments, that's different. But just for stuff like scans or info on characters? I don't see how that's any different than pulling a scan from a respect thread, which I, for one, have done.

You're still formulating plans, counter plans and arguments yourself.

yeah i agree with this. digi leant me some scans and told me where to look. ends up i found some HE didn't have. he didn't give me any ideas at all, nor was minion me ace in that event. it was spiral. borrowing scans, asking where some good stuff might be found--those things are all right. planning and coordinating with someone else is different, though i know for a fact it has been done and will be done again, no doubt.

You already know the answer to that question...

I don't mean if you ask someone to get you a scan you already know about (Like if you own/have read the comic but don't have a scanner) but asking for general "good feats" that might help is a little different than doing your own research.
