Nice theory, might put it to into practice one of these days ..... soon.

Discussion topic that may need voting:

Right now, last Wednesday stood as the drafting deadline for week 8 (last week before the playoffs) meaning the deadline is more than a week before the battle that it is a deadline for. Delph let me know that next Wed. is the deadline for the playoffs, which would also be a week and a half before it is scheduled to begin. This is due to the bye, but is breaking with the regular schedule of having the drafting deadline the Wednesday before the battle that it is for.

I'd like to motion that the drafting deadline for playoffs be the Wednesday before they are scheduled to begin, not a week sooner.

Because I, and likely others, would rather not be sitting on our playoff teams for over a week, with time for our opponent to plan/think/etc. as well as someone possibly missing a deadline due to confusion.

Scoob and leo like my above proposal, and I see no reason not implement it to avoid confusion. Hopefully delph will concur.

I posted in time ... and did the write-up (which may have gotten a bit messed up during all the PMs I sent but still....)

Since Kfish never really posted much himself it's like you're taking credit for a football match where the opposing team didn't show up because their bus broke down .... and you were only there yourself because you got a lift from a friend.

get a life (instead of taking random shots at me). I volunteered because I know that I would actually read entire arguments and click every scan and come to a well-decided conclusion, plus I have no buddy-buddy in the tourney unlike some judges who are bffs with contestants (amazing how you have no prob with that). But know that I volunteered to help the tourney since I found this tourney quite interesting...not to gain anything personally. I personally could give less than 2 shits whether you value my opinion or not and I won't bother to volunteer in the future...so you don't have to worry about me being a judge anymore. I have a life outside of this board so I really don't need to be bashed for trying to help out.

God. If you knew how bad it is, you wouldn't joke about it. 🙁

PMS jokes suck from the POV of woman who has to take an increased amouth of sedative meds\painkillers during those "special days".

They suck in general anyway. Very sexist. And I totally understand about those days. I can't go to work. I have to work from home. I tell my freinds and family that it's reflective time.

In other news. I wouldn't mind judging the tourney. I've had a great time. And Since Damn near evey one whipped my ass in the tourney, my love for you all is just the same. I'll be honest, the most simple plan will get my vote. Because some of the matches I read, I couldn't understand what the hell was going on during prep.

For me it's very painful period of month. The doctor diagnosed it as "deminorea"- abnormally painful "periods". So... two or three days every month get wiped out of my life.

And that's something those dirty male shauvinistic pigs would never understand🙁(

They understand blue balls and prostate cancer and erectile disfunction tho. That is just serious stuff to them. And if you make one joke about it, it's world war III. I'm so sorry about your condition.

PMS. Blue balls. lulz.

Anyway, I've had no less than 8-9 judges in my matches this tourney. It should really be the problem that it is. Besides, I feel like fangirl, however well-intentioned, wouldn't be a good decision to make a judge. You've already competed, and your involvement in your matches leads to an inherent bias for/against some plans that you may not have believed when you faced them.

And complex plans don't always mean non-feasible plans (except in Blair's case 😛 ). Your admission that simple would always win for you is a bit disturbing, since I feel like every strategy/plan/match/etc. should be judged separately and thoroughly, especially when the majority of tourney plans involve a fair amount of complexity.

Totally not true. The majority had simple plans. I could understand what they were trying to do. And if you paid attention to my matches, I never really cared about anyone else's plans. I was more into the strength of my own. I was much more upset with judges for over looking my plans than someone else's plans being feasible. You think from a man's point of view. It's always put down, put down, put down.
My point of view is lift myself up. So you have me all wrong.
I lost my match to you, because I didn't have scans and was at the hospital. So I wasn't too bothered.
I lost to Charlotte because I messed up on the uru metal. I conceded.
I lost to leo and scoob becuase I didnt' have my scans together. Remember I found the scans two weeks later.
I lost to Smurph because I wasn't careful enough to draft era specific brainiac.
Etc.
When you look at what you do to mess up, you get better. If you look at others and blame them for your lack of success, you never do. and as you can tell, I'm getting better every match.

Glad you want to get better at debating, but the point remains that simple isn't always the best.

Also, trying to frame my opinion as a gender thing = fail. I wasn't even a part of that discussion, and was just giving my honest opinion. You competed in the tourney, and still have a match forthcoming. You shouldn't be judging, imo. I doubt I'm the only one with that opinion.

You said that both and k and I were out of the finals. Our match is purely for speculation's sake at this point.

Sorry to hear that, after getting a girl in my life I get a glimpse of the many difficulties that I was never exposed before -once we tried to travel for about a month in the open, sleeping in a tent, and it was a hard time-.

Anyways, what how is the judge thing coming up?

Ok.

This has been the most tumultuous week I've had in quite some time. My lil sis got into a car accident last weekend, things have been insane at work, I fell victim to ID theft on 10/30, and now my home internet and Directv are both off (as a result of the ID theft/not paying my past due bill as I'd planned/money being stolen). I could bunch through a wall right now, but given my recent luck, I'd shatter every bone in my arm and be stuck in the hospital, and then not have my short term disability insurance cover the costs and get laid off.

I need a blunt.

I'm online for the next 30 minutes or so at my boy's house (watching football), so I'll post my judgements on last week's matches. Since the victors of the match are already decided, I won't do anything in depth (since I don't really have the time right now). When I get back to work on Monday I'll post the matches, and I should also have my home internet back up by Monday evening, so there shouldn't be much more downtime.

Judges for the upcoming weeks matches (beginning Monday) will be:

V, Newjak, Goober

Alternates will be:

Bada, myself, and Red.

Hopefully we can avoid hiccups for the remainder of this season. Sorry for any inconvenience. I try to keep things running as smoothly as possible, but I can't control everything, particularly the unseen variables of life.

hey man, hope things improve soon...

That was supposed to be "punch through" a wall, not bunch. I can't even type correctly. 🙁
