Delph, did you say there would be a 3rd-4th place match for whoever loses in the semis? I'm just planning things out for the entry in the respect thread. Also, I remember discussing a proposal a while ago. Within reason, we don't establish a time limit for playoff matches in order to eliminate advantages for people who can't make it online during the last day of debates. We allow everyone to get to their 10 posts before calling the match and allowing judge votes (or less than 10 if they declare themselves to be done).
Ideally, it won't take much longer than the normal 4 days to get to the post limits. As long as people aren't dumb about it, matches shouldn't last more than a week. And with only 2 rounds of matches to complete, it's not like it'll take up much time. And it'll avoid the "wait for the last second" sort of thing that weights debates toward one side or another.
Think on it. No rush, and if we keep the current format, that's cool too.
Yes, there will be a Gold metal match and a Bronze Metal match in the Finals. All 4 teams that have made it to the playoffs have 2 remaining battles.
And yes, the schedule will be relaxed. The matches will tentatively begin on Monday, December 1st, at 10:00a PST (after Thanksgiving, so ready your breakfast and eat hearty...).
Also, the battlefields will be:
Semifinal's Battlefield: Planet Arrakis [from the film Dune]: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrakis
Final's Battlefield: Cybertron [from the Transformer G1/Comic Universe]: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cybertron

Yeah, She-Ra, Thundercats, Jedi Knights, Swat Kats, etc., will be legal in Season 2.
To expand on this, some other notes about Season 2:
-Tier moves up to Low Herald.
-Salary Cap will be expanded to 150 points.
-Speed Cap will remain.
-Healing Factor Cap will be lifted.
-Weaponry Tech Cap will undergo an increase (per a discussion to define a reasonable new cap).
-Rosters from Season 1 will carry over to Season 2.

Hey ill, can we get another ultimatum on Blair/Smurph's writeup for this round? This is two weeks in a row that they've kinda given lip service to getting it in for a few days, but done nothing. It's not fair to those of us making every deadline.
They were late to the first round as well...

I'd rather have seen immediate forfeiture from the start of the tourney for any matches where teams were late. After week 1, no one would ever be late again. At this point, we've established leniency, so there's no teeth behind deadlines anymore, which allows for the kind of laziness we've been seeing. Real life distractions only go so far, since we all have a half hour of our day to devote to a writeup, regardless of what else is going on.
It's like if I tell my kids to read something but don't quiz them on it. After a couple assignments, they'll stop reading.
I already did, actually.

That's a good idea. I'll make it a public notice at that (since it would be the same for all participants). It's already common knowledge that the OPs are due on Monday's by 10am or you'd forfeit your ability to post an OP for the battle, and I've been very liberal with enforcing that rule due to trying to accomodate everyone's schedules, but previously when other people had scheduling conflicts come up (Charlotte, Fangirl, Kfish, etc), they informed me over the weekend before hand or on the first day of the match. It's now Day 3. I'm going to give B-Dub and Smurph until Midnight tonight to submit an OP for the match or it will be forfeited. This rule will also be in effect for all other matches. Matches last from Monday @ 10a PST to Friday at 12a (Midnight on Thursday). If a situation arises which makes it necessary for me to reschedule your match and you inform me by Tuesday morning at 10a PST there will be no penalty whatsoever.
At this point, with the match beginning yesterday at 10:00a PST, and it being 11:12a PST the following day (which would be past the 10:00a PST on Tuesday under normal circumstances), they've already forfeited prep. Maybe since they're already in the playoffs they're just phoning it in.
I can understand that, but they could've at least made a small effort. I didn't have an A+ writeup either, but I also respected the tourney enough not to simply ignore it.
Post it anyway please? I was proud of my fun use of Hawkeye and MM, which I won't get to repeat because of my different playoff roster.

Ah, screw it. I'm good without it. Does this make me 6-0 then?
Meh. Realistically, there has been no way for me to have completed a write up thus far this week, nor for Chris (from what I understand, we've communicated very little this past week). I understand the complications that it puts on you guys, but do whatever you have to do; ultimatums don't change the fact that I've got a dozen priorities that go beyond KMC or the tourney. It's not a matter of laziness at this point, just a busy time of the year.

True.😮
Though I want the judges to read my writeup anyway, and then vote for me and shower praises on my plan, even though it's already a win and no resistance is offered. Yeah. That would be sweet.

Hmm...
Well, if B-Dub & Smurph lose by forfeit, and Leo & Scoob win by unanimous decision, you'll be facing B-Dub & Smurph in the Semi Finals, and Leo & Scoob will be the 2nd Seed facing Charlotte (3rd).
However, If Leo & Scoob don't win by a unanimous decision you'll be facing them, and B-Dub/Smurph (3rd) will face Charlotte (2nd).
There's still a possibility that B-Dub & Smurph can beat you and take the top seed. Thry have 9 hours to offer their amalgams for the fight.
