There's something like 9 participants, and around that many judges. So I'd say around 9 would be 50%. Problem is, a lot of those people don't regularly follow these discussion threads. In past tourneys when the percentage for banning has been similarly high, a lot of people get through that should probably be banned because there simply aren't enough people that vote, either participants or judges.I'll stand by 6 as being enough for a ban, because if a third of your tournament is upset by it, that should be enough to intervene. But I also defer to ill's decision, and understand his reasoning. I encourage others to vote, either for or against, Trick's ban. Please refer to the last few pages if you need to see the discussion surrounding it.
Along those lines, I like the decision-by-committee right now ill, but for the reasons stated above, once drafts start it might just be best for you to make decisions yourself after you've heard voices on both sides and maybe 1-2 judges' input. Otherwise, the drafts will turn into protracted bickering, and futile attempts to reach majority because not everyone follows such threads on a daily basis. We'll also be getting the "He should be 20 points! No, 25!" discussions in this tourney, since not everything will be a keep/ban scenario.
I know when to assert my executive powers and when not to. Thanks for the concern though Digi.

Not trying to be pushy, bud. Just want to help you anticipate possible problems.
😉
And for general info: Not including Trick, there's 18, so 9 would be 50% and 10 would be a majority. I'll go back and find everyone who voted either tonight or tomorrow. But the count right now is at 8.
Well I guess this is where I should cast in my vote.
First off I will say that I can understand the reasons to ban him. He has not had many previous tourney successes. So I can understand the idea behind banning him.
But I honestly do not see the logic behind wanting him banned in the first place. First off, he isn't running the tourney nor is he competing. Therefore this makes the argument of him being a liability whether he stays or leaves. It isn't like if he doesn't show up for a match it will hold things up.
Simply get another judge to fill in for him if he doesn't show. And as pointed out he has shown in the past to be a reliable judge and make decisions no one had problems with.
Personally I find this whole thing a waste of time that could be put to better uses instead of a none issue that absolutely has no barring on you guys as contestants. I say if this was being put to a vote it should strictly be for the other judges and Ill to decide.
So I vote no strictly on the basis you guys have no actual grounds to ban him from a contestant standpoint.

Ok, so it seems like the majority at this point is against allowing power copying (at least at this tier). I think I'll ratify this decision and amend the rules. Any further arguments/votes for keeping it?Also, the next topics up for debate will be the allowance of precognition and probability altering powers (a la Longshot) respectively.
Bumping this post because after reviewing the thread it doesn't look like these issues were fully resolved and kind of got lost in the shuffle.
