That wouldn't be right. The judges haven't made thier statements yet. I wouldn't want to affect the judging. I missed the deadline so It is only fair to PM him some of what I had in store for the end of the fight.

Right, and I'd have rebuttals, and he'd rebut those, etc. etc. and we'd both be in contempt of court, or whatever the tourney equivalent is.

Also, why post it here when you can use it next round? Posting it here would just be a misplaced sense of pride, rather than focusing on the important stuff: namely, the next set of matches. A loss is a loss, whatever the reasoning. You move on and improve. Posting it here would just give his future opponents more to work with.

I"m a she digi. Really.

Force of habit. Wasn't even thinking about it. My points stand, however.

And as for the PM, some of his things were valid points, others I had easy counters to. Nothing revolutionary, but interesting. I said my piece and wished fangirl good luck in subsequent rounds.

I would wish you luck in the next rounds, but that is for those who need it. LOL.

I'm not sure there's really a way to rectify this situation because if we allow time for rebuttals to "last minute" posts, the person being rebutted receives the same disadvantage

Not if the rebuttal is limited to "response only" with no further offensive/defensive moves other than stating why you think your opponent is wrong.

The oponent will already have stated why they think they are right in the initial post ... no new material means no disadvantage.

Seems fairly straightforward.

Scoob's idea is definitely something to consider. But thanks for considering and, I think, accepting my playoff proposal delph. It'll be slightly longer matches probably, but it will benefit everyone in the long run.

So are the judges PMing votes to Ill for posting? if so will Ill post them when he has them all for a single match? or wait until he has them for every match?

Im guessing once he has all of them for a single match...don't see what sense there is in holding till all matches are done

Meh... we know how long judges take. But Delph will probably post them all for a single match if he has them.

Deadline's tomorrow anyway. I'm sure we're all patient enough to wait.

you shouldn't speak for others.

Uh, sure thing. Seriously, it's a couple days while we wait. I realize people are chomping at the bit to see the results but we'll know them in due time. In the past we've occasionally waited weeks for judge votes, so as long as everything stays to schedule, this will be one of the shortest average wait times in tourney history.

I was just saying you shouldn't assume to speak for others...thass all.

You should've said "I" instead of "we".

anyway . . .

frankly, if all the votes ARE in by tomorrow, i'll be the most shocked person on the forum.

so you have very little faith in judges carrying out their duties responsibly....how nice 🙄

Why are you trying to turn everything into an argument Starscream? Just chill.

And leo's just commenting on what I mentioned: that timely votes are the exception, not the norm, in tourney history. We'll be happy to be proven wrong, but we're a bit jaded from past experience.

and how nice that you're around to paraphrase my posts and coax out the subtle meanings that i've layered them with for the illiterate among us. 🙄

anyway, if the votes ARE in, i'll be a very happy little participant.

I have some votes in...
