Ah, yes, sorry 'bout that.

A Brigand is a good addition, since we already have two more social Dark Siders. Well, I am looking forward to this whole thing starting.

Do we have a set plan or is there something that needs to be discussed?

Let's get this show on the road.

JEDI

This moon has been made habitable but on the surface, where the mining works are, a harsh dusty wind makes conditions 'undesirable'. There is a slight ionic content to these storms that makes communications difficult, though not impossible.

Hence people that live here live underground. The negotiations take place underground also; the faiclities are simple, gloomy and brown, but there is enough space to seat everyone.

People are heading into the main negotiation room- which is akin to a conference chamber- now, but there is still plenty of time to tqalk as people file in, get comfortable, take seats etc. There are many attendees but the main representaives will sit around a circular table, including yourselves. Note that the law enforcement chief (Tarjan) is at the negotiating table; lae and order is part of the package.

Time is passing now so this is the time to execute any plans you have.

RENEGADES

The Houn can start start to herd some of the Cal now.

But the local settlement leader comes to you all abuzz (literally) with worry. He is sensing trouble- not for his settlement, but from the next village along. He fears that the kill squads have changed their plans!

DARK SIDE

The sacred site is now coming into view. It is like a combination of Stone Henge and the heads at Easter Island, presumably creasted by some past tribe, perhaps millennia ago. I don't think any of you are anthropologists (though now I think about it, a Heretic has dsbbled in nearly everything) but it seems the Epireans have never really developed to any significant degree, and maybe never will.

Firak sends a man ahead; five of the tribal leaders and their entourages have turned up, one of which is from one of the tribes adjacent to Ogros. Ogros himself has not arrived.

I cant post till thisevening...

I ask Firak to introduce us to the other leaders.

Just to check how many renegades do we have on the mission? And transports around? Speeders? Or Cal? -what would be more frightening than an ex-Jedi riding atop a mammoth towards you? 😛 Also, how far away is the village?

No transports of that kind, nom they would be suspicious.

And about a mile...

-

Firak will take you within, then!

The Epireans alkready there have been dioscussing noisily, sitting against rocks or on the bare groumd. Their weapon is the axe, either large ones carried for close work, or small throwing axes, all of bronze.

It's an efofrt, moving along. As you noted earlier, this world is a high-gravity one with a very dense atmosphere. it has produced the physically impressive Osokans, but your ability to undertake strenuous effort without penalty will depend on your strength score. It is a warm planet as well, so you sweat easily with the effort needed to move around.

They become silent as you move iin. As they gaze at you, you feel many things; some anger, a lot of curiosity. A lot of fear.

Fear as well as curiosity, we can work with.

I think now would be the right time to test whether I (we) can speak their language. If I can I will introduce myself to the leaders, saying "I am Con Gordo, you probably heard of me and my associates. Who are you?"

I assume they won't have any etiquette rules, but even if they do, breaking them should just strengthen my position as superior.

Yes, you can communicate well enough- simply having the skill at all means you are quite good at it, certainly in the case of non-combat skills. You might not be able to discuss the finer points of complex subjects of course.

Well, I don't want to end up naming all of these guys, but two leaders, with bright colourful flashes across the normal brown attire of the Epireans (brown skin, brown clothes, it's all brown really) introduce themselves as Thelak and Thatruk. Thatruk is the one close to Ogros' lands.

I hope no one minds if I discuss some stuff with Thatruk

"Thatruk," Con says, "you live close to Ogros, what do you think of him and his ambition?"

Unusual, Con. Some emotional conflict there.

"Ogros has much to say. Some makes sense. He is also strong."

"Ah, yes, Thangar. I heard of his strength, and I do admire strength, but there is also strength beyond poor muscle...which leaders, like you and I, have to consider. What is it that you think that makes sense in his words?"

Can I scan or sense the leaders around me? How I picture it, it is a discussion that all the leaders that are here listen to. Do I have that wrong?

Well, from what you can tell, there's no set form,. they just gather here and yammer on at each other. You guess the leaders normally have the floor. Seems more like a mass argument than a political assdembly to you.

Now you think about it... it;s exactly like a political assembly.

But they've not started yet, this is all informal. And yes, you can Scan whoever you like.

"Ogros sees a different future. But he can speak for himself when he arrives. We will listen and see."

A British one maybe, hehe.

"That is wise, Thatruk, I, too, will have some things to say."

I'd like to Scan, Thatruk. I think later when more of the Leaders are there I probably should use Empathy...but for now a Scan on him should suffice.

Emotional conflict of anger... including towards Ogros, you think?

Jedi speed run? A mile would take 10-15 minutes to run, that could be too long for us to get there and be of any use. All we would get would be evidence of something destroying a town. If that's the case, we may be better just staying where we are and hoping that the kill team sticks to their plan. What do the other renegades think?

Well, the settlement leader doesn;t know if this is the worry of an attack in progress now, or spotted on its way.

In these plains, sound carries far, and you hear no firing.

How many people do we have in our team? We could leave half of them or less here, and have the rest run to the next village. If one team ends up encountering the kill team they can get the evidence, and either use the force or the Houn to get a message to the other team who can run to the village where the team is seen to be aproaching. (We're all fit young Jedi, I'm sure we can run that far without any real problem 😛)

Well, let's see what the others think...
