USH'S STAR WARS GAME 2008- 'New Blood' (prequel for new players)

Ok, let's see what we have here...

-

JEDI

"The only Repblican forces here are my bodyguard and yourselves," says Gern. "We are hardly in a position to look at lunatic threats. Anyway, what is there to say? No-one agrees with the miners except other miners! Fisk wants this sorted quickly, as do I."

Tarjan will nod at you, Denzral. "I've got guards posted everywhere," he says. "All the entrances to the underground tunnels are covered, as are the entrances to the negotiating room itself. No unauthorised personnel are getting in."

-

RENEGADES

Well, you'll need to get relatively close; the evidence needs to be able to identify individuals.

And if it is only two of you, so be it! Yoou can take some buzzing insects to move over as quickly as possible, though you will need to cover the last part on foot lest you be spotted.

-

"I wait for meeting," says Thelak. "Then see."

Two more delegations are turning up; all are expected within the hour. Is there anything in patticular you guys wanted to do before the meeting started or do you want to spin on until then?

Denzral uses Empathy on Tarjan to discover weather he is being on the level.

Renegades-
Quick question, where did we get the information on the next village to be attacked and how reliable is that source?

The settlement leader; he can feeel their worry.

-

It's not a lie detector, Denzral, but you are fairly sure he is serious about his job.

Renegades-
I meant originally, when we first landed. How did we know the kill teams plan to attack the settlement we're in now instead of the others?

"Than what is the position of the local government? Why can't they surpass the miners?"

(I wasnt as a lie detector, I wanted to know how how he was currently feeling. If he was lying to a Jedi, he might be fearfull of getting caught.))

"Thank-you." Denz walks off. Opens com. "The security chief is clear. The security is pretty tight too." Switches comlink to stand-by. (Where are the hangers, I'm guessing thats where my R4 is...)

The lawyers were getting info from the natives; it seemed to fit the pattern.

JEDI

The hangers are at the landing pad on the surface, which is a little way away from these tunnels.

"Well, what can they do?" says Gern. "We can sign as many settlements as we like, but if the miners won't work it's all just words on a page."

Can I contact my R4 by com?

I'd skip to there.

Renegades-
Hmmm, well I don't see any reason why the kill teams would suddenly change their plans other than to throw off any threat, since I doubt they're aware of us I say we stay put. If we're wrong there's a good chance we'll hear the shots or the Houn would alert us. There'll be less chance to help the natives but I'm sure there'd be enough time to get some evidence either way.

Denzral- yes you can.

I'll see if any other Dark Siders have plans.

And Craft- you've got a bad feeling about staying put...

Renegades-
Well Jedi are usually taught to trust their feelings... Guess my vote now moves to heading to the other settlement.

"R4, I want you to head for the negiotiations. Hurry."

R4 regrets to report that he cannot. The ionic conditions on this moon prevent droids from free movement; it burns out their artificial intelligence units.

Let's buzz off then 😛

"Than it is imperative that the miners will agree to the negotiations and will not work against helping the people of this planet.
Do you know how to please the miners? Is there something the Republic can do or promise that will sooth them into accepting settlements, of course, besides what we already know... which is the money issue."

(I wish to explore the mine and speak to the minors directly, find out what they want. Also... how often can I use Empathy?)

"What else have we got to offer, other than the money?" says Gern. "We're not Gods."

The actual mines are about a mile away, Denzral. Bit out the way, Rather than the miners, it might be betetr to talk with their representative.

-

Renegades- how do you guys do for your Pilot score?

-

Winding on with the Dark Side then!

About an hour passes, with you still getting rhe same mix of curisoity, fear, anger, the odd bit of hope or anticipation, hard to be sure.

But Ogros does not come. Instead representing his tribe has come Glortharg, his deputy. He says that Ogros is leading a hunting party to deal with aggressive beasts in the forests, and will be much delayed- but he can speak in Ogros' place.

Fair enough, we should think about a possibility of a trap.

How are the specifics of the meeting now? Who is on the spot first, etc?
