USH'S STAR WARS GAME 2008- 'New Blood' (prequel for new players)

"I'm not exactly a Jedi...not anymore anyway."

Any rocks or stones around I can throw at them with the force to make my point?

Denz gets ahead and dashes for the mines. He gets there as soon as the Force allowed. (Ush I'm relying on you to get me there, the once I'm there I'll want to inspect the area that exploded.

Jovan, your merits were:

Contact (Jedi Archives)
Contact (Galactic Senate)
Famous Master

Sean- sure, there are always a few bits and bobs to throw around.

-

You are correct, Jovan, though indeed right now is not the time. Btw, it is all in the 'Archival Records' thread.

You close in, Denz. You can see what has blown up- it is the new mobile refinery provided by the Republic, the single most expensive piece of equipment, other than the enormous main drill, many stories high, that is at another part of the moon.

This seems rather senseless destruction to you. Who would do such a thing?

Then I'll do that then, aiming a bit above their heads, but so that it's still in reach of the shield.

Moves in for a closer inspection. Opens com. "Jovan, I'm at the site, what ever happened has destroyed the mobile refinery. That wouldn't hurt the minors but the Republic. It seems rather senseless, I don't see the reason for its destruction, unless it is a decoy. Stay alert." Closes com. (what does Denzral see)

cool! so the hint was for me to use my senate-thing merit? ?)

I go to Gern.
"Senator, let's not rush into things. Who ever is behind this bombing is trying to get the negotiations to stop. You can't leave now, that would let them win and leave a planet in desperate need of help! We must remain calm and finish these talks."

"The safety of the Senator is our paramount concern," says one of the Senatorial guards.

Well, it would hurt the miners as well, Denz! It was a huge piece of equipment being given to them!

-

They don't seem quite as impressed as you want, Sean.

"Tricks or not, you ain't the law. Kill him."

"And the safety of everyone here is also my primary concern. Together I am quite sure not only the senator is secure, but everyone here present."

(how does the persuasion exactly work? Do I have to ask specifically for it or is it always taken into account? Because I want this one to work)

You mean the skill?

I honestly don't know! What I just said to the guards, I want them to agree with me (preferably of course without using the force mind trick); but how can I get them to accept it more easily?

Then yes, you mean the skill, and yes, I'll apply it here. They'll stay.

great! Thanks!

Are other people making ready to leave so they need convincing to stay?

(He ment... that no minors were hurt there)

Denzral looks around. Looking for something, anything. Denz's mental perception may come into play here.

Renegades-
"I may not be part of the Jedi Order anymore, but that doesn't mean I won't use my powers to stop you!"
(Can I use empathy to find out who the leader of this little band is, then use combat push on him? Not wanting to kill, but more startle.)

Jedi people-
As a Jedi you would want to go and meet up with or get people over to the site of the explosion but with the intent of Leading them, or aiding with what needs to be done, rather than being a liability for them.

I need to read exactly whats going on before giving more advice that that though.

i go to germany for a week and a half and you add like 19 pages to this thing. i cant even remember who all the renegades are and i dont have time to read all the pages. can i please have a quick recap?))

((I don't know if any minors are already at the explosion sight, I just said no one had been hurt by the explosion. Well I'm not sure what I said but thats what I ment...))

That happens, Mando. It will happen frequently. The Renegades are Craft (played Wentar) and Spike (playing Sean). I suggest reading back as a habit to develop.

JEDI

No, there was no-one injured at the site, Denz- luckily, due to the strike, no-one is using the equipment!

There were somwe guards in the general area when it went off. They say that no-one suspicious was around, and it wasn't a fighter atttack or anything- a bomb must have been planted some time bck.

Jovan- it looks like people, especially with your help, are staying calm- but they are also wondering what to do next; they don't feel like concentrating on complicated legal stuff if there is going to be bombs going off around the place.

Tarjan's men are searching the tunnels for bombs.

RENEGADES

Do you want to bring your third member up to scratch? He can then choose if he went to the settlement or stayed back with Sean.

DARK SIDE

Ok, so you are going to mame an offer about a provided 'tithe' of criminals (per, say, month) gets given, and in return for which you will leave the rest of the populace alone?

Just to get a reading- though I don't want this to change anyone's mind- can a member of the Spycho Brigade give a comment on what they think of that?

Firak will discuss the duelling issue with you, Con- the point of the matter is, apparently some Epireans recognise the deadliness of your laser swords and strange powers and so forth, but there is a way in which their true respect for strength comes from those fighting in ritual combat, the old fashioned way- unarmed.
