USH'S STAR WARS GAME 2008- 'New Blood' (prequel for new players)

"Please, I would like to hear your offer... sir."

Well, you've heard of this man, Denz. He is tall- very tall- and elderly, with a fine white beard. He dresses elegantly in dark clothing, including a long cloakm and has piercing, searching eyes. he also carries a curved lightsabre at his waist and, until a few years ago, he was a a very senior Jedi.

He strolls across the area with just about everyone looking at him as if he owns the place.

"My, what an umnpleasant place!" says Count Dooku. "I do not even you miners. I rather think they deserve a fair deal, Jedi, don;t you agree?"

"This is why we urge to discuss the second deal and not rush into signing one that can potentially harm the inhabitants of this planet."

( do I address him as Jedi, Master Jedi or just Dooku?)

"Well, it seems the Senate has insisted on a time limit on their deal. Mine is more flexible. Shall we move on to somewhere more civilised? I have made the liberty of providing a simple summary of my deal but I would rather do so somewhere less... abrasive..."

(Count will do...)

"Master, Dooku- sorry, Count Dooku. This is a rather plasent suprise. Your help would be greatly apprieciated." Master (is he?) Vassisk bowed a little. "So far, things have gotten somewhat out of hand."

"Miner, do you know of a place?"

Your original negotiating room will do!

Gern objects but he cannot prevent Dooku simply speaking, and back underground he lays out his deal.

The total money he is offeing is less, but his summary gives you a very clear breakdown of where that money is going, with all of it definitely staying within Altamiria. The mining equipment he offers would be for thwe Altamirans to own themselves.

"I have some... associates who can offer the needed technology," he says. "Indeed, they would welcome the chance to protoype their new neuronic shielding, which may be able to counter the effect this place has on artificial intelligence."

As a gesture of goodwill, and because he feels responsible, Dooku also offers to reimburse the Republic for the damage done to their equipment by the miners.

How the miners are dealt with he leaves entirely to the local authorities- though he is sure the Jedi will have an opinion on the matter.

do you mean that Dooku's money is less than the TOTAL amount Gern offered or do you mean that Dooku's money is less than the amount Gern is actually giving to the planet? ('cause half of it is going back to his homeplanet)

(Ooh, Interesting appearance we have here. I wonder from where the machines are going to come from, but I can already guess)

"I can understand your desire to protect your "buisness", but why keep such a large number of men on a planet where you can't make any use of anything? You can't build anything until the Houn leave, and under this agreement, you can't forciflly evict them, so tell me...Why leave such a large force behind?"

Sorry if I've asked stuff that's already been covered, been working alot lately and haven't had a chance to fully read through everything, only skim.

Less than the total amount. So probably more is actuially getting to the planet (actually a Constellation of planets).

"Because we anticipate a point where our legal problems will have been resolved and I want to be in psotion to protect our investment from interference until that time. Asking me to move those forces off-world is too far."

I'll let the miners worry about the best deal though I feel Dooku's the best.
Though I would like to take the trouble makers into arrest (including the one that had the administrator).

(about to go out now, so I hope Denz will be on soon to carry on)

"Wah- thats, thats very generous of you, Count Dooku, sir." Denzral exclaimed.

"And all at no cost to the Republlican tax payer," he adds.

So it is indeed up to the Jedi players now to decide what they are going to recommend!

(I stated mine, I gotta go... hope Denz can wrap this one up)

(This is Count Dooku. Accepting his deal would reap greater benefits for the planets currently, but it will empower Count Dooku in the 'big picture' and would hurt the Republic in the future. But I don't think you have to worry about that currently)

Indeed so.

"I believe it is in the best interterest of the Miners for your deal to be selected."

Well, I shall tie it off tomorrow, but lacking any other comment it would seem that is the Jedi's big decision!
