Well yeah. Its just that whenever a street level character is classified as being superhuman to me its the same as peak human because the feats are always very similar.
At the end of the day Wolverine actually has superhuman strength despite the fact hes been stated as not having it. *shrug* So to be quite honest these terms dont mean anything.

the handbooks are official too. and they mean shit compared to what comics show.
I agree but unless the bios are proven wrong we can still use them, its not all crap.
Originally posted by snoopdoggit gives a good bio o nthe character, in my opinion they hold more weight han feats (seeing as feats usually change from writer to writer) but in a vs. forum it'd be to easy to use handbook showings, we wouldnt have the lengthy strength debates and such when you could just open up a handbook and see whos stronger
If that were true why would Marvel put them out almost constantly since 1983?
Originally posted by snoopdoggthey are official, but for things like this...like what would be the point when you could just open up a handbook, I think the handbooks show who should win but feats show who would win
The bios are as official as a referee witha whistle son. If Marvel didn't want us to believe/read the handbooks why would they keep publishing them?

To make money? The fact of the matter is bios tend to be incorrrect alot. Just because people do something dont always mean it makes sense.
Namor has been classified as being class 40 for years so you're saying despite the fact that he has lots of showings that are above class40 this means that the comics are wrong and the bios are correct?
Lets put it another way. A handbook says a cheetah can run at 50 mph but in real life its much faster, what do we do take the handbook or real life? 😐

they are but they dont hold as much ground as a consistent showing. like if his bio states 800 lbs but in over half of his appearances he is portrayed as 2 tonner then the bio is wrong.

Dont see how thats relevant, that seems like point dodging to me. Why on eearth would you even assume that it only goes at 80mph....c'mon man. 😬

Ok, but that's not likely to happen as stuff in books is based off studies they do on real animals.
Yeah and the handbooks are suposed to be 'studies' of of superhumans in the marvel universe. 😐 There were comis before there were handbooks and they had to get their info from somwhere

You say its 165, but the problem is you are assuming that the dealer is correct, that analogy does not apply to what we are discussing because we know there is information that makes it incorrect. So its more like the dealer says its can go 165 mph you test it and find out it goes 180 mph and you see other people driving it at 180mph

Exactly. And these guys get paid by Marvel to do these studies.
Originally posted by Phantom ZoneActually the manufacturer tests all of their cars limits etc.

Originally posted by Phantom ZoneNot really. They just average out all of the showings. Not just some of them..
....and the point is that their studies are based on the comics and the source material they get their information from contradicts what they put in bios therefore their studies are incorrect.
