A sock is the term given to an account which is created by an already existing user on the forums- usually with the intent of creating mischief. It isn't really fair to just label people as socks though, I mean my brother created an account once and some people were like- GMG's sock...
Sock Accounts often attract alot of abuse, as do suspected sock accounts. Its a good way to turn of new users, by throwing abuse at them for things they didn't do.
Thus, if someone calls you a sock- report them for bashing. Then a moderator will sort it all out, as they can tell who are socks and who aren't.
If you are not a sock, people will realise and the bashing will go away as you become more familiar- so happy posting!
