The culinary delight that is my breakfast.

Oats, an apple, a banana and a protein shake. Mmmmm droolio. It also took all of 2 minutes to prepare 😛.

😆 😆 😆

Awesome breakfast. 👆 👆 👆

This thread is becoming one of my favorites.

Nice nacho sauce, Ken.

I take WPI protein 3 times a day; 1 at breakfast, one between lunch and dinner, and one before bed, and a high carb protein post workout. That amounts to about 100 - 120 grams of protein all up. The other 120 I get from meat, dairy and whatever else throughout the day. I couldn't eat enough to get the protein I'm required to take for a person my body weight. I am careful with it though, I've seen my doctor about the best ways for me to supplement etc.

You'll have to help me with this kinda stuff, cause I dont know much about required intake on protein, carbs etc. 👆

Shitz, some of you people can cook.

Charles Glass, world renowned body building and fitness coach, recomends 2 grams per pound of lean body weight.

You first have to get a personal trainer to calculate your lean body weight.

Another way of finding out is to simply consume 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per actuall pounds of body weight.

IMO, lean body weight is a much more accurate way of measuring it.

Not a problem dude. I'm happy to answer any questions you have and if I don't know, then I'd be able to find out 🙂.

^^^ What he said. 1.7 - 2 grams per pound of lean bodyweight for muscle maintenance, 2.2 - 2.5 for muscle growth. It varries from individual to individual. Considering you'll be starting out, you wont have to worry about supplements yet. 90% of it is your diet. Supplements only come in to play when you;re no longer able to eat enough to get the required amount of protein and other nutrients. I'll teach you what I know as we go along etc. It's too much to take in all at once. I've been training for 2 years, and there's still plenty I dont know.

That's good, I eat quite healthy too, and I've come across so many people who just.....well.....drink it. They just state in their mind that it's healthy for them and get very sick.

Hope so, it's coming along just how I wanted.

Indeed. I was going to say, when participants want to, or when they can be bothered, to post a recipe along with the dish so that we can try it ourselves if we like what we see. I'd love to try some of the stuff I've seen in this thread.

Too true. It's not meant to be the main source of nutrition, it says that quite clearly on the box. However I still encounter people that think it's an acceptable weight loss strategy to have one or two meals a day, and supplement the rest with protein shakes.

That was my idea in the beginning, but I thought taking a picture of a delicious meal before devouring it is torture enough without having to post up a recipe, but yeah, should anyone feel like updating their post with a recipe, we could all try these dishes.

I prefer fruit smoothies without the sugar and whatnot, my aunt taught me how to make them. Sometimes I do add a spoon full of protien mix, but it's mostly a treat, nothing healthy.

Chicken, rice noodle and veggie soup and some Chicken mince, bacon and corn pastries I made for lunch, and probably dinner cuz there's a tonne left over 😛. Everything madde from raw engridients, except the dough for the pastry, which I got pre made. The filling I made myself though.

I would have to smell it in order to tell if I liked it.

It looks colorful....and tasty.

Pastry looks delicious. 😄

And, yeah, you figure that since man evolved off of a diet that was comprised of about 85% meat, you'd think that the body would function well off of those sources. It turns out that it does work quite well off of those foods.

Not bad at all, looks delicious. I honestly consider this type of food, soup/bread/anything warm, winter food. I can't enjoy a chicken broth during the summer time, it's just how I am, and this looks like perfect winter food, great job.

It's all good. We all have different tastes, like egg nog. I find it disgusting when it's not close to the holidays, I have no idea why.

I could drink that stuff all year round droolio. It only gets sold here around Christmas though.

It is good. I need to look up how to make it.

My mother makes it for just about every Christmas holiday. She doesn't like the bland, overly sweetened, abnormally thick mass produced egg nog you buy at the stores.

I must say, it is delicious homemade.
