We've been through this. That dialogue box was referring to Banner's convo with the dude at the diner asking for the "Hulk's autograph.Banner - Look, I'm only going to say this once more... I am not the Hulk. But if it means you'll leave me alone, I'll sign the stupid paper.
Dude - You got it man... (Back at the Hulk/Thor scene) where a caption box continues - I definitely won't be bothering you again.
Banner - (At the end of the fight) where a caption box states - Yeah right. The very next page, Banner is confronted by Ross and the Army. So the "Yeah right" is a comment on the dude's previous dialogue with Banner and the Army showing up.
Haha, so we're exactly does the "And I woke up" part fall into your theory that this was part of the conversation with the dude?
The order:
Dude: I definitely won't be bothering you again.
*Like 6 pages pass*
Banner: Yeah, right.
Banner: And then I woke up.
I can't believe you're arguing that Banner's statement was in reply to that conversation. Said comment was even placed in the same panel as Thor's defeat.

Which is all moot since I've already explained that panel feats trump an obscure interview.
Obscure interview? Lulz. Whatever makes you feel better I suppose.
The writer outright agreed with my reasoning and this wasn't some personal email, this was a legit CBR interview that came out the day or so after the comic. At that point people we're still trying to figure out if it was cannon or not. The hate mail started when he registered on message boards,.
What happened happened and it can't be undone. It brought Thor's stock down. I'll have to live with it, but on a forum such as this, where these little details matter? Best believe I'll bring them to light.
Sorry my green little italian.
