Favorite Joker

What's with all the big pictures? They stretch the page down...

And just because Hamil was just a voice doesn't mean he didn't have to ACT to play Joker...

Hamil is the best Joker we've ever had, imo... The character was drawn exceptionally well, and the voice was awesome...

Hell, he was playing the Joker. Everyone who worked with him said that most of the Joker's movements were borrowed from Hamil when he was doing the voiceover.

For all of you who are saying Hamill's Joker was just a voice please go watch the Batman Beyond Return of the Joker movie ( its better animated than TAS was ) uncut if possible and tell me that is just a voice

His facial features and bodily poses are based on the movement Mark would make while preforming. He had awesome lines and he also delivered them with perfect accuratie you could tell the emotional intentions he had while delivering those lines, same goes for his laugh thats acting in its purest form my friend

They say if you scroll very fast through one of these threads, you can watch TDK 2.

All scenes with Ledger anyways 😛

Enough to make fanboys wet.

It's hard to choose, you can't really compere Jack's Joker to Heath's Joker or Jack's Joker to Mark's Joker etc...so on the basis that each one is a different take on the character i will list my top 3 from that list

Heath Ledger is my no 1 - he was the Joker
Mark Hamil is my no 2 - he was a great Joker and i thought he did a fantastic job
Jack Nich is my no 3 - he stole the show of Batman.

Those three are my favorite Jokers, i can't have one overall Joker i like.

All Joker's almost always steal the show from Batman...unless you're Caesar Romero.

Who shall take up the mantle as Mr. J in the next franchise of movies? Whoever he is, he better try something totally new with the character like Ledger did.

yeah thats a good point.you really cant compare them all because of this good point he makes. That being the case,
1.Mark Hamill is my no 1.yeah he did a fantastic job.Till he did the joker voice I had no idea he was such a great actor and could change voices so well.
2.Ceasar Romero-for the same reasons listed earlier.
3.Heath Ledger as Joker for reasons earlier.

YouTube video

I posted the link to that about one or two weeks ago. OLD.

I never liked Romero's Joker....it just doesn't seem Joker like at all.

He did well for the times, and fit into the theme of the 60's Batman, so you can't really knock him for that.

Ledger and Nicholson both did a fine job, imo, although they both portrayed the Joker in different ways.

Yea honestly I think each excelled at the Joker they were asked to play. Even Romero. I didn't like his Joker but he made him what he needed to make him for the context of that cornball show

Romero's Joker was the harmless prankster Joker of the 60s

Nicholson's Joker was the murderous prankster Joker of the 70s

Hamil's Joker was the murderous prankster Joker of the 70s/80s

Ledger's Joker was the psychotic murderer Joker of today

They all played the Joker they were asked to play very well

At least, that's my take on it...

Hamil voiced the Joker in the 90's and 2000's, not the 70's and '80's.

*facepalm*

I know that, I was talking about the type of Joker they were playing...

Jack's Joker is highly influenced by the 70s version of the character, and Hamil's takes cues from both the 70s and 80s versions...

Romero's is taken straight from the comics of the 60s, and Ledger's is highly influenced by the comics of the 40s and today...

Okay, I see that now. And I still hate Romero's Joker, no matter if it was from the comics of that time.

Yeah, it's all opinion based...

I'm not a big Romero fan, either, but I thought he did well with what he had to work with (not to mention the show wasn't taken too seriously by the producers)
