Pretty sure Joker would want Batman dead.

Not quite, Joker feels a certain "need" for Batman, he will not kill him because he is too much fun.

a while ago there was bitching about bosses spawning goons instead of you having to fight them (the bosses), and now there's bitching about Joker becoming

Spoiler:
a hulking beast?

yes, yes, it looks out of character, but you don't even fight the guy, just a bunch of goons... again, pretty much like the rest of the game, the entire game.

nitpicking much? 131

... while it could look like it's out of character, I find

Spoiler:
batman not hulking out after being shot with Titan to be a bit of a stretch.

Joker injected himself with it after he shot Batman, so I'm a way they were supposed to brawl it out Titan style

that's not out character, if a fight were to happen, it would have been in the same conditions, fair fight.

... then of course,

Spoiler:
Batman did what he did, and Joker didn't fight, you have to fight the goons all over again, and then knock him down, to punch him

😬

i thought it was because bruce had

Spoiler:
injected himself with the antidote beforehand...

unless I'm mistaken, he

Spoiler:
injected himself with it after Joker became Titan Joker, on the roof, even Joker mocks him for using the antidote on himself, instead of say, on Joker

Yeah, that's how it went.

Although there are plenty of ways the ending to AA could have been improved, I loved it regardless. The Bane-esque fights are really fun imo. This is one of the few games I'll be replaying again and again. I love it.

Yeah. I'm not really that worked up about it like some others are.

Glad a good game that kept my interest came out, it's been awhile. I wonder how the sequel will fair.

Hey guys, how do you do thee advanced predator challenge rooms? I'm having a hard time with the gargoyles because they have explosives on them that go off when you're on them for too long? Is there a way to disarm them, or do you have to do the entire challenge room like that?

pretty much

though you can use the air vents to lay low, and wait for the attack.
It's all about adapting 😄

the library/mansion level doesn't have that many air ducts, though you can climb on top of the cabinet/lockers in the middle of the room and use it as gargoyles to attack from above. They usually won't see you

Ah, I see. It's pretty damn challenging, at least for me. Haha. I will try this though, thanks.

And if all else fails, use a youtube guide for those said challenge rooms to help point you in the right direction.

Haha, I'll do that. I haven't thought of that.

It helps 😉

The thing I love the most about the Predator challenges is actually figuring out how to get the trophies. It is quite rewarding 😄

The game is remarkably similar to Bioshock in so many aspects.

Of course, this takes nothing away from it, really. I've never been so happy to be completely wrong on my assessment of a game.

The only really challenging part about the challenges is when you get down to two men or so. Usually, if you haven't done the tasks, it can be hard getting them to break pattern, so you have to really think about what to use and when.

For example, I was having trouble figuring out how to do the tasks in the Record Breaker (Extreme) challenge. It's hard because you have to hit three with the same remote batarang, which isn't easy given the environment. Then you have to hit two while sliding on the line launcher. Stunning someone with a sonic batarang is easy, so I did that first, in the long corridor where the vents are. Then used the remote batarang on the group. Then line launched as they got up.

If that helps anyone, great.

Regarding the final boss talk; that's the problem with Batman, and why I've never liked DC much. You look at all the little enemy files you get and tell me what the common thread is. They're all people Batman is way better than. There's no threat, besides Joker, and that's not in a combat sense.

When you are Batman, who can you have as a final boss that is a credible fight? Killer Croc was the way he was because, as someone pointed out to me, you probably couldn't fight him or you'd get destroyed. Joker is the exact opposite.

I think Scarecrow would have made a better boss due to his ability to warp the room after injecting Batman. A last boss level like the nightmare ones, that would have been awesome.

The only thing I'd say was useless would be pressing A to run. You hardly ever use walk, so there's no point having it. If you wanna walk slowly, might as well crouch. That's not a mark against the game, though, since I got used to it. Just seems like a waste of a button, as Yahtzee said.

I just wish they'd have combined the best things about this game, with the best things about the Spider-Man 2 game. Thus creating the best possible superhero game ever, with Daredevil. Oh well.

Yes I agree that having a button to run is redundant now that we have perfected analog sensitive movement, but hopefully they'll rectify that for the sequel (assuming there will be a sequel.)

Again hopefully they'll work on all the little snags for any sequel that they decide to produce.

The logical progression is Gotham City.

Location wise, I mean.

I agree with your statement, but why have a backstory of the Titan experiment that we all knew would mix in with the final Joker fight, only to have Joker stand up on a platform and guffaw at the news choppers while you fight another onslaught of thugs?

I think for the same reason you can't fight Croc.

Batman was no match for Titan Joker, you can't hit him, you don't have weapons to fight him. you can't touch him, all you can do when he's trying to hit you is run away.
while fighting Bane, Batman can unplug his poison/toxin supply to get him down. not with Joker.

It was either that (how the fight actually plays out), or have him be a typical Titan Henchmen fight (hit it with batarang while it's running, then hit him when it hits the wall)...and you just fight two of those before Joker.

yep, and ultimate challenge room to get to Joker (and then punch him like Harley) would have been nice, but that pretty much leaves by the wayside the whole plot about Titan.

...or Batman could have not use the antidote and fight Joker one-on-one 😬
