Right. But training and having the HQ of the Dark Side Elite on Byss, along with having numerous Sith artifacts and doing Sith alchemy on the planet would have contributed to the taint and power of Byss. Therefore it wasn't solely Emperor Palpatine's powers which were responsible for Byss' power.

If you have any other source saying it wasn't just Palpatine who apparently corrupted the world long before the Dark Side Elite's training, I'd like to hear it

I'm just saying. We do have a source saying just 'The Emperor's' Dark Side energies and I once again point out, the DSE was trained apparently some time post corruption

I am asserting that their strength in the Force, combined with the artifacts and alchemy, contributed to Byss' potency. That it wasn't simply the Emperor's energies being filtered back at him as the sole contributor.

Indirect evidence (the KOTOR comics regarding the artifacts strength) support this. As does the DES entry on Byss and the Dark Side Adept.

Contributed to the potency, you can make a definite case for, but Palpatine was the one who initially corrupted it and made it such a dark stronghold

Granted. But Gideon's case was that on Byss it was just his own dark side energies from the planet feeding back to him. I'm saying that was just part of it. Maybe half of it, maybe one percent of it, maybe eighty percent of it...no way to say conclusively. But it certainly contributed to his power boost there.

If it is your assertion that the dark side artifacts and the various Imperial magi present also contributed to the taint, it is your burden to prove.

Here is my assessment of ragnos...

Since naga sadow can throw 1 brick while being empowered by korribans dark side aura and with the aid of the amulet, i say ragnos can chuck three bricks with no help needed 😖

so if a sith or dark jedi corrupts a place lets say freedon nadd corrupted his tomb on dxun. other dark jedi and sith can feed off of the dark side power there but freedon can't because he was the one who initially corrupted it?

I already did. Odryn became corrupted, rotted, and its climate underwent drastic changes simply from having sealed artifacts on the planet. By the substitution property, Byss would undergo a similar situation. From the artifacts alone. Then add in other unquantifiable factors (the alchemy, powerful Dark Siders, etc.)

Also, I didn't know WOTC magazine articles were canon in the SW-verse?

They are. And the Emperor corrupted the planet before he moved his dark side artifacts there.
