USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Ok then, I'll brave the onslaught. Either way I'll have people shooting at me, and if I survive this turn I'll have myself a nice piece of protection.

Sean runs over (using Dash would have been a good idea...). He certainly acts as a massive distraction, and he does pretty well out of being fired at by so many- that could have gone very badly. He also passes the Agility roll, and his attack roll also! He didn't specify which tank though, so as ever he's gone for the most damaged one.

Free Flier makes its dive and bombs a Hailfire dead-on: destroyed!

Enemy fighters incoming, Free Flier. You have two turns.

-

You bring another fighter doen as alert sirens go off all over, Xeth... this is not good...

You likewise have a two turn warning on more incoming fighters.

-

Leadership roll made Vera- passed! It's on!

CIVILIAN EVACUATION- START OF TURN 2

Nexu's Grin: P (5)/8

Vultures x3: P4/1

Okay then! Another run on the Hailfires. Here's hoping I can finish this before the vultures arrive.

I'll put it this way0 if you destroy one next turn, they arrive to attack you the turn after.

How fast is this tank? Amd how's its armour? I mean, will it last long enough for me to get to the Hailfires to take out any Wentar can't take care of?

Xeth struggles with the controls as the warning alarms sound, the terrified civilians scream, and the shields screech as blasterfire impacts against the ship.

"Come on, we've been through worse!" Xeth shouts at his ship, thumping at a control panel as it flickers out. "We'll make it, come on..."

With his targeting computer threatening to shut off, Xeth locks on to a droid starfighter and blasts it apart.

(Okay, so if I destroy this one and another one, the vultures will arrive... meaning I will be shot down and never escape this situation. Would Xeth be able to flee the two remaining Vultures more reasonably?)

I don't think you should try that, Sean. You can't use the gun without Heavy Weapons. I think the point was more you were taking a tank out of the equation, distracting the battle droids, and getting yourself protection against said droids.

That being said, go ahead and tap your Guard this turn and climb on into the tank.

Xeth- well, you already made the dive to ground level. Avoiding two at that level is much easier than avoiding six!

-

They are not speeders, Sean, but these light hovertanks move at a reasonable pace. As for the armour- nah, not heavy (one shot from a Naboo speeder downed one). One hit from another tank will finish it.

That will be what Xeth does, then. Shoot down one more droid starfighter and then try to make a run for it!

I am going to assume that Sean being inside a tank while it explodes is not going to be terribly great for him. That other tank needs to be disabled somehow for this to work, but without the field gun or Wentar's covering fire, I'm not sure how. Perhaps Sean could crash his tank into the other to disable it?

...

Meanwhile, Vera-Kin is going to head out in front of the traveling crowd to scout ahead, using the Force to sense for any incoming Cultists and Observation to try spotting them before they spot her in hopes of springing another stealthy assault.

Are her schticks refreshed?

Yes, and in fact with you and Jovan loading people up onto the monotrail your part is pretty much over.

Crahsing the tank into anything is asking for trouble also, and Sean cannot survive a prolonged engagement.

So we just need to see if Xeth survives to label this a successful endeavor?

Ah crap, guess I'll have to ake for the guns then.

As in pulling out?

sorry, had some stuff going on

so we're loading people in now? Otherwise I would have scouted the surroundings to make sure Vera-Kin wouldn't get into an ambush or anything

Sorry, can't read that without seeing the innuendo 😛

Yeah, I'll pull out. Staying around will only get me killed, and there doesn't seem like there's anything left that I can do. I've cleared the way for the Hailfires to be destroyed, so hopefully Wentar can take them out without getting taken out himself.

I agree with you. Time to bug out.

With tanks present and the filed gun gone, the large guns are disengaging as well. This means the best this engagement can now be is a draw, though the hailfries will easily pick them off as they move out if they are not destroyed which would make this a loss.

It will be Pilot rols from Sean to get out of there intact!

Second run made, second Hellfire destroyed, Wentar! And this turn the first six enemy fighters arrive...

-

Yup, loading up, Jovan, and time to get out.

Nexu's Grin is down to six damage remainign as it downs a fighter; remaining fighters are one turn away!

Not wanting to risk any further action with the starfighters, Xeth takes the Nexu's Grin out of the dogfight immediately after blasting apart a fighter. He dives lower and begins to weave through bombed out buildings of the area as he tries to make his escape from the remaining droid starfighters.

Exactly what date should I aim to return, PM me, or send me an e-mail preferably.

I guess I'll make one last run on the hailfires and hope for the best. What are the chances of me getting out of there after?
