USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Started by Ushgarak224 pages

Your chances of being hit depend on the general thrist of your action and how much of a target you make yourself.

This is a fleixible improvised fight so say what you want to do and I will interpret ti accordingly.

Well I guess first off I want to try my chances against an AAT. An attack on one for me first round please.

Charging it straight down gives it a clear shot at you if it targets you, is one possible issue there.

Any way to make myself aware of what has me targeted and what doesn't

If not could I a make an evasive maneuver, lower my chance to hit but make myself a less obvious target?

No to the first, yes to the second.

In that case I'd like to make an evasive maneuver against an AAT first please.

how about piling up some dead droids to slow their march?

Xeth will let Sean discuss things with the Marshall so that he can focus on the droid starfighters.

Zipping into the battle, for his first attack, Xeth tries to catch a vulture droid offguard, blasting it off of the tail of a Selenian fighter.

It is a valley, not a corridor, Jovan. It would take tens of thousands of dead droids to obstruct it.

Looks like Jovan is hanging back as Wentar speeds in. Wentar tries to draw a bead on a Federation tank but it is very hard to score a direct hit whilst driving evasively at the same time. Wentar, you also find yourself suddenly in the midst of a group of about ten of those droids! Yoir target is hit but not destroyed and in fact only one tank goes down in the exchange of fire. And you are hit! You are caught in the blast radius of a near-miss. You keep the speeder udner control but you are down to 15 out of 20 hits in this thing.

Droids and Selsnians exhange fire, the red bolts of the droids against the purple of the Selenians. That crossfire is insane! The SeLenians are crouching, going prone, trying to maximise their chances, whilst the Droids just march on in rank and file.

I have upped the hits of your Starfighter to 25, Xeth.

You find yourself fighting two enemy Vultures; you blast one down easily whilst the other socres a hit on your rear.

It seems the Selenians get the better of the opening salvos.

Impossible, considering we'll be under fire constantly, Jovan. We wouldn't have the time. But if we get in close, in all likely hood we'll be surrounded by droids that arent too smart and may shoot each-other while targeting you/us. Use their AAT's as cover if any are near-by, then the droids will do half the work for you by shooting their own tanks.

Ush, can we do something like that?

Droids are not actually so dumb as to continuosuly shoot their own tanks but they are certainly not the smartest battlefield opponents.

So they'll shoot at first before they realise what they're doing, or their controller corrects them, right? Then the effect will be much the same. Only the window of oppertunity will be smaller.

If we cut off the droids antenna would that render them useless? Is there any way to send the droids haywire (crazy, into a frenzy)?

Hmmm, would pulling out of firing range be an available option? Sorta hang back for one turn then attack again for the next?

Best thing would just be to slice them in half, Denzral.

And I think Wentar should make use of the Skimmer until he needs to bail and fight on the ground, rather than hanging back.

Xeth chases down another Vulture droid and locks on before blowing it away.

Well I'm ready to go!

well, I guess I'll tackle the droids then. I got that guard to advance I take?

Fair enough, I was just thinking of ways to keep the skimmer alive longer. Another evasive on the damage tank.

BB is rigbht; if you are close enough to damage the antenna, you may as well just trash the droid.

Youe defence is listed as being up on your stat line, Jovan, but advancing into that much enemy fire is going to cause some attrition.

Wentar- yes, wth good Pilot rolls you can hit and run back and forth. So your choice!

In truth I'd like to try the back and forthy way this round, the longer the skimmer lasts the longer I last which means the longer we can keep this fight going...

right, is there a chance to use natural cover or something?
