USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Ah, I thought we didn't had lightsabres ignited because then the droid could spot us more easily.
Well, if they do not look down, I have to alarm them damnit 🙁

Wentar is going to drop mid level with Jovan as originally intended.

Ok, Wentar climbs down and he has now seen it. Jovan yells upo to Denz- though as ever, no post, no action!

Vera heads back up. Vlad's instruction is a bit schizophrenic as he is still checking out the west doorway. I'll have to complete that one. However, he is now in sight of Jovan, who I can assume will frantically gesture at him, so now Vlad knows something is up. Vera has just climbed out of his sight range and so leanrs nothing.

And so the BV-50 comes through the door and onto the scene! To remind you, it has a vase-like shape, wide on top and narrow on the bottom. It is brzone covered, actually a dense armour, but small, only half the height of a man. Its lower half has several compartments that open to reveal weapon systems; open right now are its gatling lasers that have a permanent 10000 Bolts tap effect, though for hitting multiple argets in the same area rather than repeated hits one person. All of tyhis is slighty obscured by the translucent purple shimmer of its shield.

With the BV-50 on the scene, I'll start counting turns from now on.

And so it is that Jovan is the first to see what the BV-50 has just cut through the southern doorway.

Yes, I'll make obscene gestures at Vlad. 😄

ok; so I totally suck at this...

Is there a way I can get closer to the droid while taking enough cover?

(Use Coordination!)

yes, but I need to know if he has a good chance of shooting me or not, if he has, I definitly need it, otherwise I might pull it off without

The BV-50's ability to fly makes most forms of cover irrelevant once he closes.

"Blasted!" curses Vlad as he notices Jovan and the droid cutting through the door. I'm guessing that it will take me a turn to get to him before I can even engage the BV-50? If so, then I'll head for Jovan as fast as possible.

The BV-50 is literally two turns from you, Vlad, but that's only directly useful if it stays still.

Vera-Kin will move to center and begin using Sense to try locating the BV50, as she cannot see Jovan getting the attention of the others.

Meanwhile... I have a feeling that Kiu and Denzral will not be joining us. I'll poke Rocas, but Reaper did say he wouldn't be able to post for a bit. Should we disclude them? Leaves us with four Jedi...

Can Sense be used to predict where the BV-50 will move?

I went ahead and PM'd them, Vera. I'll let you know what they say.

And yeesh, the BV-50 is a nasty piece of work. Does it use its Gun pool for the tissue disruptor and the cutting beam, Ush?

I'm thinking myself and Jovan should hold our ground until we know which way the BV-50 is moving?

Four Jedi isn't bad. I'll give you a day to plan and contact others etc. before we move on.

The tissue disruptor is an auto-hit (as you may remember if you observed the Desert of Stones fight for the Dark Side). The Cutting Beam uses the same Guns score.

Don't forget the shield gives it a Parry of 3 against melee attacks- you can work out how hard it is to hit from there.

On the bright side, your sabres will ignore all that armour.

Okidokey then Xeth! The basis of the large-scale combat system is poretty similar to that of the OT game, with it coming down to ratios of strengths at opposing areas.

Big difference is- this, if you can believe it, actually having been the first battle that was designed for these games, with the OT game having come afterwards off-line, this one is uch simpler, it being fought in a straight line.

How time flies when you're waging wars in space. I sort of remember how the Battle of Lanzar worked, but I would appreciate a refresher if that's okay.

Unfortunatly resits are getting close so my internet-time is cut down. I hope to get this fight done, but then I'll drop off for a few weeks I'm afraid.

Hmm... Perhaps I should head for center? So that I don't make it to the West entrance just for the BV-50 to be another two turns away.

That's the kind of sensible way to be thinking, Vlad, yes. Anticipate its movements.

So should me and Jovan move up to engage it now or wait for Vlad to meet up with us?

if we give each other decent cover while fighting, I'd think we can try and make the droid stop for a few moments till reinforcements arrive at which point we can withdraw if we need to heal up

(I don't think there'll be any healing up, Jovan, but I suggest staying put to see where it goes. You don't want to rush forward just for it to move away from you. It'd be a waste of time.)
