USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Indeed, as lacking a precise target you will just go for the closest.

Initiative goes to the droidekas, so they fire! I feel Jovan might have missed the issue with them winning initative somewhat- yuo can't prepare for it, as by definition it means they go before you. Other than defensive taps, the initiative question is simply one of considering "what do I do now if I move first, as opposed to what I do if I move second?"

The one without the bonus attack this time is... Vera! She gets one attack, everyone else gets two, though this time, Kiu has a defence running. Damage spread all around!

Ok, your move! Well, Vera and Kiu togetehr desteoy droideka B. Jovan goes for C! He scores a reasonable hit.

Ok, new rule- all swaps will now be declared as the FIRST thing yuo do each turn, and then I will reveal as I post the turn whether it was a refresh or not. This is the ONLY time now that swaps will be allowed.

Meanwhile, you guys need to co-ordinate better...

So my first action would be to say that I swap this and that, then we go through things and you say whether or not we can refresh, then the start of the next turn we say what we refreshed? Just want to be sure of it.

And yes, we need to talk things out. I don't want to instruct you both what to do because that would just boring for you guys. But we need to coordinate.

Jovan and Kiu need to stick together and specify what droideka they are attacking! I say go for D. They are labeled for a reason. If you just say 'the nearest,' you are in error. Don't do that. 😉

Swap out Block.

Vera-Kin is going to move up to Droideka C, keeping on the end of the line to limit the shooting options of the Droidekas. She then attacks it to further the damage done to it, hoping to destroy it quickly.

I will swap out Perfect Strike.

I will attack droideka D and tap balanced guard.

D is in reach- note that probably two droidekas away is the best you can manage.

Vera- yes, though generally speaking it does not often happen that you have more than two things to untap, so I'll only query if necessary.

So... all noted! Just waiting on Jovan. Well, and Denz if he joins in.

I have a feeling he won't, but we'll see. It wouldn've made this all a lot easier.

But Droiddeka C isn't destroyed yet!

This is very much true! Vera wants to try and do it herself. Well, you know what your comrades are planning, Jovan, so what's your move?

ah, misunderstood her then

Then I'll go with the other one to D to chop it up.

It was a Refresh turn!

Ok, well, they win initiative!

The droidekas are spreading out a bit to get targets. C can still fire at Jovan but after his positioning last round, the others cannot really do so as of yet so he only gets one attack on him. I'll rule, therefore, that one droideka does not get to fire this round. That leaves two attacks on each of the rest of you, except again for one lucky guy who gets only one. Lucky perosn is... Vera again! She gets a lucky low hit; the pounding from the droideka heavy guns is very harsh on the rest of you. You cannot keep up your deflections much longer! Kiu's Balanced Guard tap was very timely, though, and he covers Jovan likewise

Vera advanced to droideka C in an attempt to destroy it. Seems unlikely to me; she's not making any form of suepr-attack. She inflicts 7 damage; it is still up. Jovan and Kiu go for their target too, but no kill.

Not good.

Quick re-cap please?

You are being shot to pieces by droidekas.

Where am I and why am I there? and a quick situational re-cap please, I am am a little too drunk to re-read the last page.

facepalm

We are destroying Droidekas to help out the Far Right square. So far, we are losing badly. You have a turn in hand and this turn to act, so make two actions, preferably chopping into Droideka C with Vera-Kin.

I'm thinking we should call a retreat here, or Kiu and Denzral are going to get shot down and be of no use for a few turns.

We need to destroy all of them to win the situation, right Ush?

That decides it, then. Xeth and Wentar will have to stay in the air for another few turns to make sure the vultures don't go picking off our soldiers.

That okay, Craft?

I'll move in, and attack Droideka C and tap everything, then retreat next turn.

Yes, all of them. So... if you are going to retreat, there's no point fighting on.

Yeah, this is not something we are going to be able to pull off. If we had had better coordination and participation from all four Jedi in this, maybe could have gotten two droidekas a turn... but not now.

I'm going to pull Mastery rank and say we retreat. Sorry guys.

Two a turn was optimistic; droidekas are not pushovers. Nor, really, should you just run straight at them.

Still, you did just get your refreshes, and I might allow Denz a retroactive tap for his banked turn if he posts for it.

can't we just blow things up or something? I have bombard and stuff

I'm a bit drunk so I'll need an explanation for 'banked' turn please? I don't know what it is?
