USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Jovan, if you want to use Bombard, you can! You wouldn't have to worry about its shields.

Denzral, I'm going after Droideka E. C's dead, you killed it. 😛 It'd be good if you tapped that Guard of yours, though. It makes you more likely to kill it.

I'll swap in forward guard for BGU I'll move in on droideka f, and tap forward guard on it. And I'll designate my bodyguard for Jovan.

Fine... grrr...*underbreath* what vera said....

I'll go for E I mean and tap Orthodox Guard.

Considering E & F are being attacked, I'll bombard G with the remains of dead droiddeka's, with s ome luck we might get through on this one I think.

Hey, trust me, it'll keep you in the fighting in addition to kicking some Droideka ass. 😛

Jovan, might want to throw at F with Kiu. He can't kill it in one go.

Time's up! Let's process it.

Making up Jovan's banked turn first- he gets a good hit in on F, and I can give him some health back for the effects of his OG tap from that turn.

They get initiative I am afraid. Denz's fortune holds; the droideka does not bypass his Orthodox Guard tap.

(Kiu's Bodyguard is no longer relevant- he is not generating any extra defence to share!)

You guys go after that battering. Kiu dashed forward to Jovan and with a 24 dice pool, kills that droideka. Feel free to do so in whatever stylish way you wish.

Denz and Vera bring their target down, and then Jovan uses Bombard on his droid target. Jovan rolls two successes for seven damage. Fair, but you were within melee range so that was a waste of a force point- just sabre the darn thing! There is honestly no substitute for a sabre if you are able to get close to your target.

FINAL BATTLE (THIRD SKIRMISH)- Start of turn 6

Denz (LS 9): 1/48 [OG/RI/RF] (0F)
Vera (LS 10): 3/28 [OGu CL] [BGu BL] (1F))

Kiu (LS 9): 1/52 [FGu BG PS] [BGu] (2F)
Jovan (LS 9): 3/34 [CL] (4F) [OGu] (3F)

Droideka G (G 7): 0 (3P)/7 (deployed)

Droideka H: (G 7): 0 (3P)/0 (deployed)

Let's see if we can clear this one up!

**** it, thought it would turn out differently.

Perhaps best if the teams stay the same because Denz & Kiu are badly damaged... Vera & I take lead in both teams? Considering Kiu is close to death, we'll take G who already has damage?
Denz does one attack and retreats?

I'm just trying things out here, folks

In the air, double events for each of you! We may even raise that to triple later...

Xeth- "On Your Six

An enemy fighter has got onto your tail. Fight your opponent but ignore any bonuses from have better or superior Thrust / Manoeuvrability and your opponent fires first.

If you have Tactical Awareness this event becomes a Melee - In the swirling chaos of combat you and an enemy engage each other. Fight normally."

Uhoh! Your turret takes a shot but only wings it. It gets an attack with three bonus dicve... but only gets you for 2, bfore you bring yourself around and blow it up. Followed by...

"Melee

In the swirling chaos of combat you and an enemy engage each other. Fight normally."

Another two hits to you as you bring it down.

-

Wentar:

"Collision Course

Manoeuvre Test (Level 6). You must swerve to avoid a mid aircollision. Take 4 damage if you fail."

Look out! Luckily you are in a manoeuvrable ship; that one would be trouble for Xeth. The level of the check is subtracted from yuor Pilot pool, but you then add your Manoeuvre rating of your ship back on. That gives you six dice; you roll two successes and dodge out of the way of the detatched piece of vulture wing.

Then...

"Closing In

You move in close to your opponent, ready for the kill. Fight normally, except you win initiative in the first turn and get a three dice attack bonus."

Bwahahaha... you down a fighter without reply.

-

Now the Pilots fight. Well, this time is not so great- the Feds troll better and the Selenians do not roll so crazily well, as well as having lower numbers. Still a solid win for you guys this round though.

Going to wait and see what others recommend before I make my own decision this turn.

Okay.

Denzral, Kiu, Jovan... team up on Droideka G. With any luck, all three of you driving your lightsabers through it will destroy it. Kiu, tap Bodyguard for Denzral. Denzral, tap Riposte just in case it doesn't do the trick and fires at you.

Vera's going to swap in Block and tap both it and Orthodox Guard and attack Droideka H.

I don't like the new system after the updates as much as I liked it before... but that is just my opinion. Okay I'll tap Riposte and swap out Orthodox Guard for Gunslinger and move in on Droideka G, stabbing my sabre into the ground underneath it's tripods and slicing upwards.

I'll attack G.

Tapping bodyguard will do nothing. I need defense to give in the first place.

Not much has changed for you, Denzral.

And tapping Bodyguard will give Jovan a Defense of 2 because you have a natural Defense of 1, and Bodyguard will double.

"Let's wrap this up and go home," Xeth says. "Things are turning against our favor this time..."

Xeth keeps swooping about the air battle, his quadruple cannons blazing away and the turret nipping at vultures.

Initiative to the good guys! And indeed, Vera's prediction comes true, as her taps destroy one droideka and all fo you combined detroy tyhe other. So we need not worry sbout defence at all!

Well, not as planned- and a lesson there about being careful with droidekas; they are not soft targets!- but the situation is a Jedi victory! Yay!

The battle continues!

-

Rather than attack at a disadvantage, the Feds reinforce the far left. Fresh droids march into place.

-

The insane fight at the near left runs into the ground with another firefight that leaves both sides crippled.

-

Droidekas and droids move in to fill the Federation gaps in the centre.

-

An attack on yuor advance at the near right gives you some casualties but also wipes two Cultists units; some of those who withdrew earlier move in to plug the gap.

-

The Jedi prevent a disaster at the far right- but your casualties are too heavy and the front has collapsed.

Your move!

In the air, the fighting goes on.

Xeth: "You and an enemy attack each other in a head on attack. In the first round all damage is done simultaneously and Thrust and Manoeuvre bonuses are ignored. Thereafter fight normally."

That's a good result for you; you destroy an enemy fighter for only one hit in return.

"Coming to the Rescue

Thrust Test (Level 4). You race across to save a comrade. If you pass, one less Mook is destroyed on your side (reduce hits appropriately)."

A straight Pilot roll there is a success! You save your comrade.

-

Wentar: "Melee

In the swirling chaos of combat you and an enemy engage each other. Fight normally."

Two hits to you from a good roll by your foe, but you down him easily.

"Wingman

Situation: Do not draw a card. Instead, you get one turn of combat to destroy another fighter. If you succeed, you also prevent one Mook on your side being destroyed this turn (reduce hits appropriately)."

Done! An enemy destroyed, and a good result to boot.

The Vultures are all destroyed, but losses to your side in this engagement were significant.

I hope this gets done soon because 2-3 out of 4 are very injured...

Argh.

Far Left is going to keep at it, hopefully the Foresters won't get killed this round...

Near Left is going to hold back and get reinforced by the Gothan Militia units. I doubt that the Fed will go for an attack on them next round as we'll have superior numbers for a turn.

Near Right and Center are going to attack the Fed Center and demolish them! Die die die!

Far Right is a loss. I want the SWAT unit to move into the Near Right and I want the Selenian Reserve unit to move into Near Right Reserve.

The Jedi are going to rest this turn. They need it badly. And the starfighters are going to pull back, we've lost too many.

Oh snap, I though it'd be worst after well... I've been gone half a year. Is there a way I can get back into this one or I'm out till the end of the episode?
