USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Started by Ushgarak224 pages

Initiative to the droids! A hail of fire comes your way from them and their supporting STAPS.

Moving in with his sabre out, Vlad cuts down the last of his group; Jovan gets his two kills and the others get one each.

FINAL BATTLE (SEVENTH SKIRMISH)- Start of turn 3

Denz (LS9): 3/35 [RF OGu RI] [GS] (0F) (western trees|

Battle Droids x3 (G5): 0 (western trees)

Battle Droids x3 (G5): 0 (central path)
Battle Droids x2 (G5): 0 (central path)

I'll tap perfect strike and attack the nearest battle droid.

Vlad, use charge to get to the central quick.

I'll tap Reflection and reflect any shots that come close at one droid, and slash another in half.

Vlad will move in from the eastern path to the central path and cut down a droid from the group of three.

Apologies! I mis-read Denz's instructions form last turn; I th0ought he changed his mind about Reflecting at first glance. In fact, with that tapped, he killed two droids! I'll swap it out for you to.

And with you guys winning initiative this turn, Denz kills the last droid on his side!

Vlad races on over and hacks down one more as Jovan and Kiu take two each.

But with so many Jedi comitted to a relatively easy fight, and with you all loaded up on anti-mook skills like Carnival of Carnage, Reflection and Cleave, this battle is won- only three droids remain, and they will die easily. The STAPs withdraw and this fight is yours!

With the Jedi aiding, the Feds are again thrown out of the Far Left with heavy losses!

With tanks supporting them, the Feds get the better of the near left skirmish, and your Infantry unit is lost.

The Feds deploy their near-right front line unit into the centre, to replace the previous shattered force. THis leaves their army in your near-right front lines attacking you, with their returned air support...

... and now great explosions are tearing into your centre unit lines! Your units there take additional hits during the battle, damaging your crawlers and destroying your assault troops. With thair air support, the battle is a loss for you, and Federation losses are light.

The symbols representing the Federation fleet in orbit move from the red, out-of range section of the command table into the green area beneath it. The computer speaks.

Federation Fleet has moved into a low orbit striking position. Droid Control Ship is within range.

FIRE FIRE FIRE

As Xeth watches the battle begin to go poorly, he starts to become disheartened. So many Alurans are being killed by the cruel war machines of the Federation, Alurans that previously did not imagine that such a treacherous war could come to their planet, having only dealt with pirates.

But then the Federation control ship opens fire.

"It worked!" Xeth declares as the control ship descends on the holographic display, pumping a fist in victory. "Scramble the fighters! We're going up! Wentar, with me! Aetin, I need you on my turret!"

Xeth heads out of Command to get back to the Nexu's Grin, accompanied by the Selenian soldier who operated his turret earlier in this fight.

"May the Force be with you, Wentar," Xeth says. "Happy bombing!"

-

I want the Far Left to advance into the Federation frontline and attack the Federation at the Near Left, with the Near Left striking forward to do the same.

I want the Center to turn and attack the Near Right, supported by the Aluran Reserves at the Near Right.

And, of course, the fighters are going up to tackle the Droid Control Ship...

YAY!

What about the Jedi, Xeth? Can't be too much longer until this battle is over. Do you want us resting or fighting?

Those of you on ship duty are heading out to the hangar, with all the associated shots of ships being powered, final preparations, systems checks, maintenance vehicles driving around etc.

If some of you want to fight, I won't stop you! Just keep in mind that this isn't the last turn so it'd be good if some of you hung back to rest.

Vera: 20
Jovan: 34
Kiu: 33
Denzral: 35
Vlad: 37

Only two places to be, really.

I prefer a rest actually... only Vera is somewhere near battle ready
but as always, if I need to go I'll go

Feel free to rest, then. Anyone else?

Well, Center is 260 to 190, and Near Left is 110 to 175... what are those ratios, Ush?

Remember Near Left is tipped because of the tanks.

I'm resting this turn do the Alurans have a medical station I can make use of?

Are any of the Jedi except Wentar and Xeth boarding the ships?

"You too, Xeth. You keep those Vultures off of us and I'll make sure that Control Ships is finally taken care of. " Wentar replies, turning towards his chosen starfighter. "See you after this war is over."

We should have 10 Alpha's, 9 Beta's, 7 Charlie's, 8 Delta's and 9 Epsilon's of varying damage, right? Are all the Elerian fighters capable of 'special torpedo payload' delivery?

"Hey, who says it's going to be you that takes it down?" Xeth asks, smiling smugly despite the fact that Wentar is obviously the superior pilot here.

Xeth boards Nexu's Grin with his Selenian gunner and tells R3-U9 to run it through the lift-off diagnostics.

The Jedi seem a bit battered right now- and you may have to hold the Federation army off for a few more turns to give Xeth time to finish the job. Getting a little more health before the final fight would be a good idea.

As noted earlier, the field hospital is out of supplies from turn 10 onwards. No extra healing is available.

-

Yes, all the interceptors are torpedo-equipped.

"All pilots to their ships, all pilots to their ships," comesa over the tannoy. The ladders are drawn away from those ships whose pilots are already in.

THis hangar is an underground one; the vast blast doors at the top now draw away, revealing the sunlight above.

Already you can make out above you the specks of the covering wings; the otjher ships sent to keep the fighters off your flanks whilst your assault group goes straight in.

"Tell the ground batteries to open fire," orders the Marshall.

-

Those of you at the battleground- weary after hours of fighting- see the batteries open up; from the city behind you, and from various area from your flanks, the considerable Aluran ground defences are blasting huge amounts of enery into space. You see the red of massive blaster cannons, and the distinctive blue zap of ionic disruptors.
