Xeth thinks back to his mission with Gundark, when prices had been put on her head and that of Lance Windu. Xeth glances back at his companion and shrugs.
"We've come against worse than bounty hunters," Xeth says. "And yes, I insist that it is entirely genuine. I would not have troubled you otherwise. Who issued that bounty, might I ask?"
I actually think Jovan has a point there - The Jedi are going to be a bit of a separate group on this one, although with the same cause as the Renegades, just in case if our intentions change or we disagree in what must be done.
"The warning is as real as it gets..." insists Vlad. "Some of us here are genuine Jedi Knights, we are disciplined and calm. We would not insist on this warning if it's truth was in doubt"
Wentar may be a little offended at Vlad's apparent claim that Renegades are always hot headed and undisciplined. Also he thinks Xeth should be made aware of Calhoun, more specifically how his Renegade buddies sorta pissed off the Serpent.
"I'm sure there would be better ways to do that. We say there is an invasion fleet coming, if this was just an excuse to bring you into our conflicts then there would be no invasion fleet and in the end we'd look pretty stupid after it didn't show up." Wentar says, in an attempt to convince the Colonel that we aren't here to further whatever problems we have with the Union. "The fleet is coming Colonel, we don't throw around the word invasion lightly."
Any form of Persuade (Not the force power) or Presence (Yes the force power) can help here?
Persuasion scores will indeed help you very mmuch if it is a Persuasive tack that you take, as will Force powers that help in such situations.
"Say the fleet is coming- which you've offered no evidence for. That creates a situation. Perhaps there are ways ot can be worked out. Well, perhaps you don't want it worked out. When they see you are here, they will assume we have already made common cause with their foes.
"Or maybe you people would be the reason WHY a fleet would come. What possible reason would they have to invade anyway?"
Denzral stepped forward. "One that will be answered without our input in the next few hours. So please continue to think as you are and then you can stand in denile when the fleet we speak of is launching landing craft and blockading this system. I have no authority here, none of us do. You must decide for yourself." Denzral tried to persuade him. "But I urge you to consider our words carefully Colonel, as was said; the word invasion is not thrown around lightly."
(Sorry, I posted the first words by mistake.)
"This is a big and powerful planet, perhaps the Techno Union is testing their fleet and strategies of invasion so that it could attack the planets in the Republic more efficiently. We are not sure of their motives yet, Colonel, but we know they are coming here. Why would a whole fleet come after us? Wouldn't us, especially the Jedi, not rather hide on a planet in the Republic or even on Coruscant? Our presence isn't going to be known here, and we sure aren't the motive." insists Vlad.
Can I persuade roll or something?
