USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

Well then traffic control queries you about the idea of fully nine Jedi turning up all at once for a vacation so far from Coruscant.

"Well, you see, we're on short leave from our duty," Xeths tries to explain. "I suggested that we venture beyond Republic space to see the state of things. We heard Alura was doing quite well for itself and it sounded like a decent place to start our planet-hopping."

After a pause, the voice on traffic control is replaced. He identifies himself as a Colonel Minas of the Selenian Defence Guard. And he's not inclined to believe that by sheer coincidence there are nine Jedi all off-duty at the same time in the same area.

Including one in a Jedi Fighter Craft.

"Hmm..." Xeth says. "Well, I do agree with you, that does look a bit odd. I will be more truthful then. I have reason to believe that Alura may be in danger. The danger isn't here yet, but we want to help. We really are on vacation, though. This isn't Republic business."

"Danger? What are you saying?"

(I think the biggest problem with the Lying plan, btw, is simply that I don't think any of you are actually very good liars...)

(Yeah... not the Jedi way, it seems.)

"You're not going to like this, and there's a lot more to it," Xeth says. "We've uncovered a plot to invade Alura and attack the Republic. A corporation is performing illegal activities outside of Republic space due to restrictions within it. I want to stop it at all costs, Colonel."

"I see. A plot. By a corporation, no less?"

"Well, yes," Xeth says. "You don't believe me, do you?"

"Perhaps you had better come down. We shall provide co-ordinates."

Or to put it another way- no, he doesn't.

"Thank you, Colonel," Xeth says. "You won't regret this, I promise."

Xeth will wait for a section of the energy shield to be lowered so that their ships can pass through.

In fact it does not lower. You are instead provided with precise instructions about passing through the shield at low velocity, at the right angle.

Like all energy shields it does not fully impair physical objects. It's pretty close in, btw; you have to get very close to atmosphere indeed to get inside it.

"Well at least they've agreed to see us..." Sean says leaning back in a chair in the cockpit.

"Or so we hope," Vera-Kin says.

Upon passing through the shield, even before you hit the atmosphere and the brilliant blue sky of the planet, you are aware you are being scanned by many, many sensors which you soon work out are wired into an extensive defence network.

for the record: I didn't mean that we should hide our lightsabres, we exit the planet in the clothes and weaponry of our chosing... if they spot it and see what it is, you answer truthfully before that I didn't see a reason to state this

anyway, today was hectic, tomorrow will be too so not much posting I'm afraid

Who's the best liar out of us?

"Well... Let the force be with us on this one" says Vlad as he dives the Freelancer into the shield.

Vera with a whopping 1 is the leader in lying, while Jovan and Wentar are tied at 3 for highest persuade score.

It's an impressive defensive array they have- seems there are heavy defence emplacements dotted all over the place.

In a way that's good, but in another that's not very good...

We really need to persuade them about the invasion now. We don't have any proof, however.

You have to say, Vlad- the Union and feds have not picked an easy target. This is no pacifist or gentle world. On Naboo they landed unopposed; here getting landing craft down is going to be a major operation in of itself.
