USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (DARK SIDE)- Destiny

Ah, I see, I take it those are basically just locals that put stars on their jackets. Probably wouldn't go running to the Republic if we'd beat the crap out of them?

You don't think the Republic has much influence out here. Though you probably would still have to be appointed to wear the star; there must be a planetary Governor or magistrate or some such thing.

Oh no, Con, I'm sure they're actual deputies.

This is what you call a "lawless planet that don't like strangers."

They might be "deputies" the question would be what that actually means though.

On a different note, why can't we just claim we are Jedi and pretend we have authority and they should be quiet?

It means they enforce all the arbitrary laws and will of the local governor, but in a very loose way. Such as killing a raggedy bunch of offworlders for resisting official lawkeepers and then telling him after the deed.

That sort of bluff is never worth it- too easily checked.

Okay. But we probably need to think of some other lie or persuasion, I assume we can't just pay that much money...and the only other alternative seems to be fighting with people who apparently are the law on here.

Fifteen thousand credits?! That's half a ship's worth!

Ask, no demand, them to all us to speak to their leader.

Xavier doesn't understand the language the big alien is speaking, but is all to familiar with everyone getting up ready for a fight. Xavier having put the hood over his head squeezes his fists in case a fight should break out.

"It seems that this tax is pretty high, and I don`t think it conforms to any accepted Republican standards." -He grins at the one speaking basic.

"How about I buy you and deputy a drink and we talk about it? Then we will tell about the hospitality of Gondorkarro across the stars."

"How about you pay up now or we take your ships as collateral?" he says.

"Mu faaar taa!" says the alien, insistently.

Rianna and Relle, whilst this confrontation is going on, you notice another figure in the background, sitting at a large table. he is wearing an elegant gambler's outfit (and indeed he is playing cards), and also wears a large distinctive Texan style hat. He had made to stand up as part of the gathering when the threeats were going around- but then he noticed the lightsabre at Dak's belt. His eyes then flicked across and made out Galder. He looked at him for a few moments, and then sat back down and started whispering to some of those near him. However, some deupties (and heavy-looking friends of theirs) have moved to block your view of him since then.

How much money do we have?

And I quess we will have to steal the ships back from them?

Um... Ush? Dak's sabers are in his gauntlets/wrist guards for quick drawing and use. ermm

Well, the guy is quite observant so he spotted the hilt of one anyway. You must have flashed it whilst gesturing.

You don't have that much money.

"And what if we don`t have so much money at the moment? We can arrange it, but not right now. And who is the highest authority in this town of yours, is that sheriff?" -Gallador drops his humble attitude, deciding to show they are not easy victims.

"Well, if you can't pay, your ships will do. 'course, then you gotta pay accomodation fees... and if you have no money for that, we don't like vagrants around here."

"Taak ku!" says the big laien, levelling his gun at Con. Gee, that thing could blow half the bar away...

This feels fitting right about now, Ush... innocent

Not my fault you aren't as good at hiding things as he is at spotting them! How you describe in fluff the way you hide things is only a cosmetic way of applying your Intrusion skill to do it. The only way to truly hide your sabres from view from anyone is to have them in a position where they cnanot be drawn.

Ush, if I say we are from Golden Serpent, would they be likely to know it is a lie?
