He pulls out a leaflet from one side.

"I'm not getting any of these cleared up, and I have to justify my position sometimes.

"Danza. Wanted for murder, arson, property damage, galactic hijack, and seventeen counts of dangerous animal rustling... which is what got the bounty on his head oddly enough... fled to here. Bring him in and your cut of the bounty is a hundred thousand. Ten thousand credits each ain't bad."

"And I take it the Agency is going to look for undesirables on another planet?"

"Not sure I follow there..." he says. "I'm just saying I've got some valuable bounties that need collecting."

(I thought he offered to say we weren't on this planet if the Bureau asks? Did I misunderstand?)

It's not quite that straightforwards...

(Ah, ok)

"Well, what can you tell us about the bounties? I hope they are "Dead or Alive"" Con laughs.

"Hmm, I am certain we can look for that wanted man of yours.
Do you have any details about him that would be of assistance? Of course, what we are most concerned about are people from Bereau." Gallador considers the situation.

"Are there any ancient stories about that Desert.... perhaps something tha involved tales of Jedi and Sith?"

"Yup, dead will do. In fact, all you probbaly need to do is find the body."

Yes, he has a picture and genetic ident of the guy, and no, he doesn't know any ghost stories.

"One problem," he says. "These are officially sanctioned bounties, not just some schmuck offering an open reward. It's how law gets done on the frontier. And somehow I doubt any of you are officially sanctioned bounrty hunters."

"Well, how about it being you who got him, as far as anyone else is concerned, Marshall."

I assume even if we were our current predicament would make it hard to claim.

"And that will be where you come in?"

"Ah, I'd love to, but there's a limit to what people will believe, especially if I make this a long-term deal. Besides, point is I get the administrative 'share' of profits. As Governor I'm not meant to risk my life out in the wilds."

"There must be a legal solution of course, or you may simply let some of locals claim this bounty."

Ush, we can use some healing facilities in this town, and if not we can in our ships?

"I think we see what we can do about Danza, and other business can be discussed at another time."

"If any of us were bounty hunters, we are no longer sanctioned," Rand says. "Their liscences would have been revoked by the Guild. Even an organization of scum is not quite alright with employing the Republic's most wanted.

"Did you have an idea as for how this bounty could be collected, then?"

Also, Rand wants to look at the Bureau sheet, see if there are any other names of starships listed.

Nope, just yours.

"Well, if you aren;t bounty hunters, you'd have to have legal credentials, yeah? Like I say, it's how we do law around here."

"And you know, I need some new deputies..."

"What would your deputies need to do? Judging from the last ones it is a rather free approach"

"Like I say, I keep a hands-off approach. It's not a full timr job, you get paid for what you do right. Collect bounties, keep the law around here. You can set whatever coniditons on the town you think work. maybe best not to try and tax people just for entering though. I don't think that policy was... good business in the long run."

"I rather agree," Rand says. "Where do we sign up, Marshall?"

"It might work better for us. But as we said, we need to find our man first. If we can additionally secure some further income, that would be excellent. But our priorities are clear"

He's been preparing ten documents.

"Sign here and it's done. And of course, it would be ludicrous if some suit tries to claim that the officially sanctioned agents of the law on this planet were somehow... 'undesirable'."

I take it we don't actually have to read the documents cause we probably just do what we want anyways, right?
